Salvador. “Mother,” I called, pulling her, with my tiny soiled hands, closer to the garden of Asiatic lilies. “I planted them…do you like it?” I asked, personally amazed at my dedication. I had worked on the mini garden for three months and the result was better than expected. “Wow, they are so pretty!” I swelled with pride, with a grin plastered on my face. The white lilies matched Mother so well, her aura, her laughter, her eyes. White. I spun around to face her, she always gave me little pecks whenever she was proud of me, and I wasn't going to miss out on those. But she wasn't the face I saw when I spun around.
