“Wait, Rowan!” Aiden called, but he didn’t answer.Rowan clenched his fist as he was about to knock on their mother's room, but Aiden pushed him just in time. Rowan almost fell to the ground, but Aiden held him, and they collapsed into each other, the sound loud.“You can tell Mum,” Aiden said as Rowan lay on him.“Watch me,” Rowan answered coldly as he rose to his feet. Just then, the room door creaked open and Mrs. Hale stepped out in her pajamas.“What’s going on? Aren’t you both asleep?” she pressed as a smirk curled on Rowan's lips.“How can we be asleep when Aiden is busy frolicking with Kai? Mum, you won’t believe I met them kissing,” Rowan announced as Aiden tightened his jaw but remained silent.“They can do that,” Mrs. Hale muttered, wiping her sleepy eyes.“Mom, you didn’t hear me properly. I said I caught them kissing, It happened right in front of me,” Rowan explained.Mrs. Hale yawned sleepily, then turned to Aiden. “Did you do that with Kai?” she asked.Aiden remained s

“I meant… perhaps, with time, he’ll remember,” Aiden said, his tone steady, though a hint of uncertainty lingered beneath it.“That’s exactly what the doctor said,” Mrs. Hale exhaled softly, relief and worry entwined in her voice.“So… what’s the next step?” Aiden asked, curiosity threading through his calm demeanor.“Well,” she began, pausing briefly, “I think it’s best he stays with us for now.
