Felicia watched Anne sleep as she sat by her side. After a few more minutes of just listening to Anne's gentle breathing, she eventually got up. To change, she sneaked inside Anne's walk-in closet. She had stored a few garments in the back, nestled amid Anne's skirts, ever since she moved here. She removed her jewelry, put on new clothing, and placed everything in a little bag.When she emerged, she stopped at the door and looked back at Anne, who was lying calmly on the bed. Hesitancy wrenched her heart. Ultimately, though, she forced herself to go despite the pain. She nearly ran into Max as he emerged from his room into the corridor. Felicia spoke in a steady, calm tone. "I'm heading out. Inform Anne first thing in the morning. Max's gaze darted to the bag she was holding. Felicia was about to leave when he spoke. What do you fear so much? She froze.She turned back to face his inscrutable, icy gaze and calmly said, "I just don't want to be in the same house with you." Max chuckle
