All Chapters of My Enemy [BL]: Chapter 381 - Chapter 390

ELLISMy face felt like it was on fire. My legs were sort of working, but they were definitely sending in their complaints. I tried to step out of the closet without making direct eye contact, all while wrestling with the thought that just a few seconds earlier, Julian Cross had kissed me so fiercely that it nearly scrambled my brain for life.My lips were still buzzing.Which was, frankly, incredibly rude.I briefly pressed my hand over my mouth, then quickly pulled it away, realizing that was a terrible idea. Instead, I rubbed my face, silently hoping the floor might open up and swallow me out of pity, but the floor, just like everyone else in that room, wasn’t on my side."Wow," Pamela said, standing next to me, her grin practically radiating joy as someone who’d just witnessed something magnificent. "You’re so red! That must’ve been some seven minutes."I nearly choked and that only made her laugh harder. Great.Seriously, why was everyone so amused? Why was my misery so entertain

ELLISI woke up feeling really irritated. Not the usual kind of irritation, like when my back’s sore and I have class in an hour, that’s just the background noise of my life at this point. No, this was something deeper, almost personal. It felt spiritual, like a kind of annoyance that had solid roots. It was lodged in my bones since around three in the morning where I finally fell asleep and had apparently decided to stick around, kind of like that one houseguest who just can’t pick up on the hints to leave. For a few blissful seconds after I opened my eyes, I managed to forget why I was annoyed. Just lying there, staring at the ceiling, with my mattress being unreasonably nice to my back while my brain was still kind of fuzzy around the edges. Then, just like that, the memory hit me hard, complete with no warning and absolutely no mercy as if to say "I’m backkk, bitch! Miss me?!"The crowd chanting. The closet.Julian’s hand on my waist. His mouth on mine. The way he’d pressed me aga

ELLISHe merely blinked at me then walked back out of the kitchen after he grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. My jaw dropped as I watched him leave. What do you mean it didn’t work?!My annoyance, which had been simmering all day, solidified into something sharper and more focused. This was war! A specific, psychological war between two people who weren’t going to discuss what happened in that closet last night but were going to express their feelings through indirect aggression and minor household infractions.I wasn’t going to lose. That evening after a long day of classes and a shift at Sandy's Cafe, while the shower ran behind the bathroom door, I moved through the kitchen with the quiet, purposeful energy of someone executing a plan. The Rules List was exactly where I expected it to be on the fridge. Neat and laminated, spaced evenly like Julian had organized it with a ruler, which was a reflection of how much he cared about it. I’d read it enough times that I could recit

ELLISInside my head, every piece of confetti exploded at once.Outwardly, I simply smiled.Awwn, could it be that all my attempts to get his attention were actually getting to him until his breaking point.Julian was just standing there in the middle of the apartment, looking so annoyingly calm that I seriously thought about doing something drastic. Not anything too serious, mind you...nothing that would haunt me at work.Just something to throw him off a bit and balance things out for the week. Something like tossing his protein shakes into the ocean one by one as he watched.Or maybe while he was sleeping, I could shave off one of his eyebrows and just pretend everything was normal when he woke up. Or I could burn his precious list of rules and roast marshmallows over the ashes while keeping a straight face. These all felt like fair responses to the emotional torture I’d been enduring for days. I mean, any jury would get it.The sticky note was still pinched between Julian’s finger

ELLISJulian’s gaze lingered on me for another second before he looked away first. Not in annoyance, but not coldly either. He just... turned away quietly, shoving his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants as he stared somewhere toward the kitchen instead of at me.And suddenly I knew he wasn’t going to answer.I frowned slightly, irritation bubbling up again at the familiar silence. Seriously, this guy treated conversations like they physically pained him. One second he was pinning me down with those intense blue eyes like I was the only thing in the room, and the next he was acting like he’d signed a legal agreement with himself not to communicate properly.I waited anyway. The silence stretched long enough that even I started getting uncomfortable with it.Eventually I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly.Well... at least we were actually having a conversation this time. That alone felt groundbreaking enough. I probably shouldn’t push my luck before Mr. Human Iceberg d
