Chapter 1

When Vera Nightingale returned to the estate, the moon had already set.She walked to Kieran Ashford's bedroom door, intending to ask why he had stood her up today, but heard heavy breathing from inside.Vera peered through the crack in the half-open door, and her face went deathly pale. Kieran had a naked woman pinned beneath him, his shaft driving into her body over and over.The burning desire in his eyes was a kind of madness Vera had never seen before.The woman had her arms wrapped around Kieran's neck, her face flushed. Vera's voice carried a hint of a sob.Soren said nothing. His fangs pressed down and pierced into Vera's neck.Blood trickled down her skin.
