Chapter 42 ANNIKA “Aunt Annika!” Sophie ran into my arms, tears filled her eyes as she wrapped her arms around my neck, holding me tight, burying her face there. I lifted her into my arms, wrapping her legs around my body as I gently patted her back. “Shh, it’s okay darling, I’m here,” I whispered, soft, gentle. I walked deeper into the living room. I gestured to the nanny, handing her my car keys, “The clothes are in the trunk, can you bring them out?” I asked softly.
