Nathan "It's …you ?"I said between clenched teeth. My voice was almost a whisper. Lexi froze her eyes widening at the realization that I already knew his son even before she could introduce him to me.Her eyes darted between us, confusion flashing across her face.Of course she hadn’t expected this. Of all the people in the world, of all the wolves, all the humans, all the irrelevant strangers, this had to be the son she’d brought into my life.Leo Adams.Campus royalty, hockey captain. Professional pain in my ass.Who wouldn’t recognize those infamous green eyes? They’d been burned into my memory for two solid years, every match, every hallway encounter, every time he skated past me like I didn’t exist. Now his green eyes made sense, he'd inherited them from his mother. He stood there like he owned the air around him, staring at me lazily, his jet-black hair messy as always, some locks falling over his forehead, it felt infuriatingly intentional ,his shoulders relaxed. Too relaxed.

Nathan I narrowed my eyes still recovering from the revelation, then his voice came out. “ Like what you're seeing?” The audacity, he didn't even feel ashamed, it had just been a few hours ago when I saw him grabbing a chics ass in the hallway and now he's in the lockeroom being given head by a man, I almost laughed at how messed up this boy was. “You were not in the field,” I said, avoiding his weird question. “Ah that,” he rolled his eyes then signalled his partner to stand up, he gave him a kiss then slapped his ass, “ see you later handsome,” he told him as the boy got out of the shower and got dressed. He gave me a smile which made me burn before he left the two of us in the room. “ What the fuck man,” I blurted out finally. “ What do you mean?” He said lazily still naked. “Look, it's bad enough that you're a spoiled brat but this…” “What…. Do you have something to say? Huh? This is my goddamn life and I'll do whatever I want, or just because we live under the

Leo“I'm fine,” I swallowed, the burn of whiskey still clinging to my throat and the metallic taste of blood still lingering. My mother stood from alpha Matthews' side and walked towards me with concern and maternal instincts written all over her face. Then she stopped midstep, she flared her nose as her eyes shifted immediately.“ You've been drinking?” She uttered in a disappointed voice. It's more like a rhetorical question.I don't dare to answer, I just look at her blankly. This was not what I was expecting on my way back, I didn't want her to see me like this. Her eyes moved over my face — the split lip, the purple blooming beneath my eye, the way I’m holding my side just a little too stiff.“Who did this?” she asks softly, but her voice trembles beneath it.“I handled it,” I murmured. She steps closer now, her fingers brushing my jaw. I don’t pull away, I just stand there. Her hand stills.“These should have healed already,” she whispers. She’s right, they should have, but my

Nathan The ride to school was a quiet one. I walked down the hallway with Luca, our class was going to start in the next one hour, Leo had disappeared the moment we arrived at the school gate, I couldn't careless, as long as he wasn't going to get beaten up again and I have to drive him in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere. I was getting my stuff from my locker when I felt a gentle tap on my back. I didn't need an introduction to know who she was, her scent filled my nostrils, it was notes of wildflowers and fresh rain first, then a warmth like sandalwood, and beneath it, a hint of smoke that made my chest tighten. “Hey,” she greeted me warmly, her face dazzling with those sparkling hazel brown eyes, I turned with a smile tracing my lips, “hey, how are you?” “Pretty good, you've been avoiding me?” she said in a low voice, not wanting anyone to hear her fuss about attention, she was always like this, always poised and not wanting anyone knowing that she was a si

Nathan I woke up at the crack of dawn to a pack full of activities, two weeks had passed after the encounter at Chloe's home and she had been avoiding me at school since then.I walked to the balcony of my room and looked down below, I was met with a sight of people carrying and arranging chairs in the field. Some were decorating the already arranged chairs with white cloths and purple ribbons.I shifted my eyes to a small raised platform, behind it an arc of moonflowers and white roses and on the side transparent white cloths that swayed to the wind's direction, I figured that would be the altar. What seemed to be the aisle was covered with a long red carpet, it looked grand, I turned back and went to my room. I could hear the faint noises coming from inside the house. I twisted the door knob of the mahogany door and walked out of the room. I stood at the railings and looked down below.Men and women walked tirelessly carrying trays filled with crystal glasses and plates. I made my
