“Now about college applications...” Zack’s father continued, straightening his posture. Zack groaned at the mention of college applications. “Dad, not now,” he complained, burying his face in his hands. “Can we not talk about something else? Like how awesome my girlfriend is?” His father chuckled and took off his tie. “She is pretty awesome,” he agreed. “But that does not change the fact that you need to think about your future.” He leans forward, is expression serious. “Look, I know you are not the best student,” he said bluntly. “But with some effort, you could get into a good college.” Zack peeked through his fingers. “What is the point? I will just drop out anyway,” he muttered. His father shook his head firmly. “No, you will not. You are going to apply to at least three schools, and you are going to try your hardest to get in.
