EVELYNI should’ve left when I had the chance. My mind drew back to that exact time frame. The way he told me that it wouldn’t work out. “We both knew from the get go” I groaned angrily, stepping hard onto the accelerator with hopes that somehow I could damage the car without losing a major body part. “Then why did I f*cking get attached?!” I scolded, not the steering I had begun to hit with force but myself.“What was I even thinking?!” Regret flowed through my veins as though it had mixed with my blood. I finally pulled up to the side of the road to scream, do something, maybe break down in tears, I still wasn’t sure but I needed to get this out of my system quickly.I hopped out of the car and right in the middle of the deserted road, I screamed so loud that it rattled the leaves. The kind of scream that does not make you feel better, it just makes you feel empty.The road was deserted. Just trees, the cliffs behind me, and my car with its headlights still on, lighting up the dust
