Alpha Dane’s Little Project のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 31 - チャプター 40

Celia was sitting before a canvas, a painting brush trapped between her fingers. The bristles swiped lightly against the canvas, leaving trails of blue hues carefully trailed on the edge of pink. With one dirty rinse to dissolve most of the blue paint, she dabbed the brush on a paper towel and went in again. Her phone rang, interrupting her just when she was about to pick another brush. When her eyes caught on the caller ID she hissed and went back to work. But the caller persisted, and she was left with no choice but to answer.“Hello,” she said, rolling her eyes immediately.“Celia, I need your help.” the caller, Vivica, spoke abruptly.“You need my help?” Celia scoffed, “What happened to Elena?”“Elena can’t help me…”“Oh. You finally realize that. Good to know.” Celia said before ending the call.“Shortly after, the phone rang again.“You don’t give up huh, Vivica?” Celia fired over the phone as soon as she answered this time.“What do you mean? I…”“You didn’t only watch as Elena

Vivica’s POV“You want to win the pack member’s hearts?” Beta Theo’s voice cracked, unable to conceal the shock that rippled across his face. “Yes,” I mumbled.“Why?” he started, quickly correcting himself. “You don’t have to.”“I need to.”He paused. “But there’s nothing you can do for them. Alpha Adrian has provided everything they could ever need.”“That’s not possible.” I managed, awkwardly lowering my gaze. I couldn’t help but feel I was overstepping, but then again, I had to if I were to succeed in my course. Coming up with an idea that’ll not only get me out of the mess I constantly found myself in but also carve a good, everlasting impression on the masses had seemed impossible. Not only was I unfamiliar with the territory—making it impossible to carry out a survey on what they might need—but I had also succeeded in getting on their last nerve.to carry out a survey on what they might need myself, I had succeeded in getting on their last nerve to the point that seeing

Arella’s lips moved almost invisibly as she read something off her phone screen. Her face contorted every now and then with unmistakable disgust mingled with shock.“What does the text say?” Felicia asked, her patience running thin She etched closer to Arella, stretching her neck to catch a glimpse of the message. Arella planted a finger on Felicia’s forehead and shoved her back.“What do you think you are doing?” Arella chided, pausing for a second to glare at her. “Do you realize your hot breath is fanning my face when you lean that close?”“Forgive me. I was only—”“I told you I would let you read it once I was done. Why can’t you wait?!”“Sorry.” Felicia muttered, her lips clamped tightly as she looked around awkwardly.“Don’t do that again,” Arella warned sternly.“I won’t.”Arella’s cold glare hardened as she added, “What are you still waiting for? Step back.”Felicia dragged herself inches away from Arella, whose gaze returned to her phone. Shortly after, Arella handed t

Vivica’s POV“This is not a good idea, Luna,” Melissa stated as I stood in front of the mirror, checking out the maid’s uniform I wore. For a split second, I was tempted to agree with her, but when I recalled why I had started this in the first place, my resolve hardened.I adjusted the bangs of the black wig I had used to conceal my auburn hair, then I turned to face her. “Is there any difference? Am I recognizable?”Melissa nodded, a sad expression clouding her face. “That’s because you are aware of the disguise,” I said adamantly, turning back to the mirror to search for loopholes in my facade. It wasn’t just my hair I worked on; I had added black highlights under my eyes and a concealer on my lips to make myself look exhausted. Following a video I watched online, I had even altered my eye shape, changing my doe eyes into siren ones. For the final step, I used lenses to switch my emerald eyes to honey brown. “You might be right, but what if something goes wrong and we get bus

Vivica’s POV“You told your Mum you wouldn’t be coming back if she doesn’t fix the mess,” I started. “You want to move here?”“No. Not yet.” she stabbed a prawn and plucked it off the fork viciously. “So where do you plan to go?”Her countenance change to a suspicious glare as she leaned back to watch be through slanty eyes. “Are you praying for her not to fix it or what?”“Well, I know how adamant your mum can be.” I said. “Sorry to say.”“No need to apologize. You aren’t wrong.”“I remember the first time she cornered me to warn me about you.” I said with a faint smile on my face. “It was one of the scariest days of my life. She threatened to report me to Jason… I mean the Alpha of the pack, if I didn’t stop being friends with you. That was after I rejected the money she gave me.”“Poor woman,” Celia sighed. “If only she knew two of you were—” Celia was about to blurt out the most absurd thing when my gaze weighed on her hard. “I’m sorry.”I rolled my eyes and fixed my gaze on my p
