SHATTERED AND TEMPTED のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 101 - チャプター 110

DIESEL POVDonald walked closer, slow and deliberate, like he owned the whole damn warehouse. His eyes went straight to Daisy, sliding over her from head to toe with that hungry look that made my blood boil.“Look at you,” he said, voice dripping with fake pity. “All dry and tired. He didn’t even take care of you properly, did he? Poor thing.”I felt my jaw lock tight. My hand twitched toward the gun at my waist. The urge to put a bullet between his eyes right then was so strong I could taste it. But I held back. For her. She wanted her chance to talk. I owed her that much.Donald snapped his fingers at one of his men. “Bring her a cold drink. She looks like she’s about to drop.”The guy disappeared for a minute and came back with a bottle of water, condensation already running down the plastic. Donald took it, twisted the cap off himself, and held it out to Daisy with that stupid smirk still plastered on his face.I wanted to smash it out of his hand. Send it flying across the room a

DAISY POVThe instant the door burst open, Donald’s men rushed in — four… five… no, now ten. My heart rate skyrocketed. There was absolutely no way Diesel could handle them all. They carried knives, bats, metal pipes, and a few guns. Their faces were twisted with pure fury.In all this chaos, Diesel was still staring straight at me, as if their presence didn’t affect him at all.“You said you’re hurt,” he muttered, his voice low and calm, like we were the only two people in the room. Are you fucking kidding me?We were both going to die, and he was worried about me catching a cold? I was already shaking with fear, my legs threatening to give out. Donald’s men were spreading out, cursing and raising their weapons, ready to tear us apart.Diesel reached out and took my trembling hand in his large, steady one. His thumb brushed gently over my cold fingers.“You’re catching a cold,” he said quietly, almost softly. “We should go home soon.”I stared at him, completely stunned. The world wa

DAISY POVDiesel’s hand felt like the only steady thing in the world as he led me away. My palm still stung from the slap, but the burn was nothing compared to the strange lightness in my chest. It was hard to explain, but it felt as if a piece of the heavy weight I had carried for so long had finally become… smaller.Behind us, Donald’s ragged breathing mixed with the groans of his fallen men. I don’t know what Diesel did to them, but they were now on their knees, facing the wall with their hands on their heads. I didn’t give them a second glance. I didn’t need to. That chapter of my life was over. The door to the outer hallway burst open with a loud bang. Hawk stormed in first, gun raised, his face set in hard lines. Five more Storm Vipers followed close behind, their boots heavy on the concrete. Their eyes swept the room, taking in the blood, the broken bodies, and Diesel standing tall despite the bullet graze on his shoulder.Hawk’s gaze landed on us. He lowered his gun slightly,

DAISY POVThe sunlight woke me up.It slipped through a small gap in the curtains and landed right on my face. I blinked slowly, feeling warm and heavy.Diesel’s arm was still wrapped tightly around my waist. My head rested on his bare chest, rising and falling with every slow breath he took.He was still sleeping.I didn’t move at first. I just stayed there, listening to his heartbeat. It was steady and strong under my ear. After a while, I carefully lifted my head so I could see his face.He looked different when he was sleeping. His hair was messy, falling across his forehead. His eyes were closed, lashes resting against his cheeks. The small scar on his jaw caught the light.God… he’s so fucking handsome. Really handsome.I couldn’t stop the small smile that came to my lips as I remembered last night. It’s hard for me to stop smiling the more I remember that cute side of him. Though that cuteness won’t make me forget the Diesel that looks so tough when he holds a gun.Last night,

DAISY POVDiesel pulled me tighter against his chest, one strong arm locked around my waist while his other hand gently stroked my hair.“These tears are itching me more than the damn eggs,” he murmured against the top of my head, his voice low and rough.A shaky laugh slipped out of me before it dissolved into another sob. My fingers clutched his shirt desperately, as if letting go would make everything fall apart again.“I’m sorry,” I whispered, voice breaking. “I didn’t know… I just wanted to do one nice thing for you.”“You did,” he said softly, pressing a kiss to my forehead, then to my tear-streaked cheeks. His lips were warm, patient, grounding. “The breakfast tasted good. Having you there made it better.”He shifted slightly and winced. The stitches on his shoulder must have pulled.“You’re hurt,” I said, pulling back just enough to look at him. My eyes dropped to the red rash spreading across his neck and arms. His breathing was heavier than usual. The allergy was still bothe
