"Where were you all through the night?" Clive asked as soon as Eleanor stepped into the room that morning. "And why are you just coming in?" She had wanted to sneak in but hadn't thought that her husband would be waiting for her in the living room, where it was not possible to get in without being seen.She had just got back from another masked party and this night was far better than the previous.She swallowed. The opportunity to get the evidence he sought came faster than he had thought. That night, he had fallen asleep earlier than usual. These days, after his nightcap, he found that once he fell asleep, he didn't wake till morning and had to rush off to the hospital. He thought it was strange.
