Ugh! The thought of it freaks me out still. We stared silently at each other, although part of me didn't lose focus on the road.I'm sure he has tons of questions as do I? None of us felt bold enough to approach each other first. It's only for a month that this fake relationship will last.I have to get close to him and get evidence pertaining the murder of my girlfriend.I still need to find the car he used that night. The police had withheld it back at the station for a reason. They knew it was enough prove I guess.A different thought clouded my mind all of a sudden.Thoughts about the envelope I found in Carlos' drawer. The symbol upon it, I still don't know what it meant. It's a good thing I took a picture

Twelve: Tension At The Club

Travis's POV I pace gently through the lobby, hoping not to make sounds with my feet. It was quite difficult getting past the guards at the entrance, I had to present an ID card to them, to confirm I work in the mansion.I didn't know that the moon will fall upon me will in Sammy's house. I didn't regret it though.I was just few distance to my room, when Carlos got out of his.I rolled my eyes in frustration as I know he's going to say something to me."Where are you coming from." His voice strikes coldly.I bit my lips gently, wondering if I should give him an answer."I asked you a question!" He raised his voice."I...I went to pick up something from my apartment." I lied, trying hard to look into his eyes without flinching. He swallowed."We're going to the club now." He said like a command."Club?" I retorted."You're my bodyguard aren't you? You're driving me to the club.""Yes. But does Mr. Alva..." He cuts me off my words."Does Mr. Alvarez what? Approves?""Yes." I replied,

Thirteen: The Dare

Travis' POVMy eyes widened at him while my mouth part open slightly.I gripped the glass of liquor tight, my mind asking the question, 'what is he doing here?'I don't know why I get a hunch anytime see him. Like a bad feeling.I was unsettled when he got into the room in the office and now in this bar."Carlos' new boyfriend right?" He asked, taking a seat beside me."I'll take the mix he's having." Stanley told the bartender."So, you came here alone?" He asked me while looking around to see whether he could spot Carlos perhaps. Why is he being so casual with me? I couldn't help but question myself. In the office, he seemed upset to see me or even talk to me. But here, he seem to be calm and friendly. His hair was loosened in curly waves, falling upon his shoulders."No...of course not, I came with my bos... boyfriend." I corrected immediately. I seemed to have delayed while answering."Oh, I see! Where is he?" He asked not showing a concerned expression. I think he doubted my sinc

Fourteen: ATrap

Travis I took a step forward and turned around to see Stanley smiling mischievously.I get it now, he must be that cunning.I scoffed and walked back to take my seat near him."What's wrong?" He squint. His smile turned into a furrow."You think I don't know Carlos very much do you? We've spent a month together, of course I know him. Abd I can tell you he doesn't like his little dick to be sucked." I said it like I knew him that well. Did I have to put little though.I did notice how Stanley's gaze settled though. If there's anything I know about facial expressions, it's this one. He's totally disappointed that I figured it out.Believing I have won our little dare, I began walking back to go sit down."How about a kiss?" Stanley's words made me pause. "He shouldn't be troubled if you gave him a kiss now right? After all, you two do that all the time." He take up his glass to his mouth. What the hell does this man wants? He's trying to much to prove whatever it is he has stocked in

Fifteen: Saving The Pup

Travis I did confess before that I haven't fought such a number of men before.I might have been to taekwondo school, but those men definitely knows how to swing the bats in their hands. It was a tough fight, even I managed to land punches. With their dangerous sticks, I guess they had the advantage anyway.I can't believe I'm protecting Carlos against this dangerous men.I wished they was another way to skip this fight, I swear I'd do it.One man down, I kicked him in his balls and he couldn't stand up any longer.I got a cut on my leg after that which turned things in their favor I guess.I didn't make it easy for them though. I had the fourth man's bat. I had to make good with it.My target was Pedro, but I guess I couldn't get him. His minions were over protective of him. They must be gay and he, their daddy I guess.I might be injured, but I'm no weakling when it comes to a fight.I didn't give them the chance they were hoping for.Eventually, I won the fight, but not without a

Sixteen: Kindled Hatred

Travis' I took a taxi to the Alvarez's mansion as I didn't have a car to get me there.I guess that made it clear that I only have possession of the car whenever Carlos is with me.Greedy rich people. They only want to take from you, and then leave you with nothing in the end. It's the same with most of them. When they want you, you become an asset and once they're done with you, you're trash. All they need is someone that'll will match them in their game.I'm just the right person now.I'll show them all not to mess with the poor or lowly. Their not weak as they paint them to be.While in the taxi, I kept my face outside the window, allowing the cool breeze brush upon it.It was a good feeling, but it didn't feel complete. That was a habit I learned from Stephanie.Despite all I did to get her to stop it, she wouldn't listen. She was quite stubborn.Eventually, I joined her in the act and began to love it as much as she did.I really miss her. Everyday I think about her, and it's p

Seventeen: Strangely Pleasant

Travis' I sat on the bed with my hand resting on my thigh. My shoulder still hurts a little. That was the least thing I was bothered about though. My face was glued to my screen. I was looking at the file Sammy sent.He did a great job retrieving this from the station's archive.I really do owe him one.A gentle knock appeared on my door.I hissed, thinking it was Carlos."Who is it?" I asked nevertheless. The door got opened all of a sudden, revealing a hulk behind it.I swallowed as his face wore a frown. What the hell! Why did he bother knocking if he didn't seek my consent to come in."Mr. Alvarez, will like to have a meeting with you." He announced and stepped out.Mr. Alvarez. He's back? I asked myself that question because the hulk had left the room even before I could say a word. What's going on with them? Why are they returning so early from work? And Mr. Alvarez had seen me earlier today. I wonder what other audience he is looking for?Damn it! I swear I'm weak right now.

Eighteen: Playing Tough

TravisHe wrapped the towel around his waist and began walking away."That's not I meant, you're never too old for me." I tried convincing him as I saw that he had returned back to frowning. We got to the room and the I spotted the meal at the corner of a couch, where a table sat.Did I forget to mention that his room looks like a living room?"Are you hungry?" He asked."Very well sir." Honestly, I've been trying to hide my grumbling stomach for awhile now."Suit yourself." He pointed to the meal.I was truly hungry, but why would he let me eat his own meal?"You're not going to eat?" I asked to be sure of what I was about to do."Why are you so scared? You're hungry right?" "Well, it's weird that you'll have me eat your food.""You've only spent a week or two in this mansion, but you act as if you know me completely." He puts a cigarette into his mouth."I too have a heart you know." He added, then turned to open his wardrobe.I'm really hungry right now.I went to take a look at t

Nineteen: Dance Around Pleasure

Travis' POV I appeared before Carlos' door. How I hate to see him right now, but I have no choice. His father instructed me to bring him to the party. It shouldn't be a big task since the party is taking place in this house.I'll drag him to the venue if I have to.I placed a gentle knock on the door. He groaned from inside the room—tiredly.I knocked again, slightly louder than before."Go away!" He commanded. His voice faintly audible."It's almost time for your father's birthday party. I was asked to accompany you to the venue." I spoke on the door and made attempt to open it.The door is locked. He must have been aware that I was coming."I'm not interested in attending that old man's party." "Well, he said that I make sure you come.""So, I suddenly become important to him because of a party? Don't waste your precious time, I'm not going."It seems he has made up his mind.Mr. Alvarez certainly knew this would happen and that is why he put me up to convince him.Gosh! Like I c

Twenty: Feelings

Carlos' POV I walk up to my father like other guests did.I've never considered him as father, but simply Jonathan my boss at work.If only I wasn't his only child, I'd have probably had a free life to live."This is my son Carlos." He introduced me to a woman by his side. She smiled warmly to me and stretched her hand for a handshake."Well Carlos, it's nice to meet you." She spoke calmly."The pleasure is all mine Miss...""Victoria." She completed."Miss Victoria." I echoed with a mutual smile.A straight man should have looked at Victoria with a lustful eyes. She's exquisitely beautiful. However, Jonathan seems not to be fond of this.He goes around claiming to be straight. But underneath this walls, I know he fucks men as much as I do.I might not have caught him with anyone yet. But I see the way he looks at his bodyguards. The way he treats them."OMG! Where is the present you brought for your father?" She snapped all of a sudden, raising the interests of those closer to us."
