AUCTIONED TO THE LYCAN KING のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

MAYAThe guards dragged me toward a truck parked at the edge of the camp. When I saw what was happening my heart shattered all over again. My people were being shoved into the truck like cattle. Men with whips cracked them across their backs without mercy. I memorized every single face of those men. I would come back for them one day."She is to go with you" the guard said to the men loading the truck. Then he shoved me forward and I stumbled but managed to catch myself before hitting the ground.I turned back to the guard who pushed me and stared him down. He did not like that one bit and slapped me hard across the face."Lower your gaze you filthy mutt. You may have been something in your old pack but now you have been reduced to nothing" he snarled.Despite the sting on my cheek and the venom in his words I refused to look away. I was the only child of Alpha Richard Stone. I was born to lead. I was not going to bow to some guard no matter how weak I was right now.My wolf had gone

DAMIENI did not expect the rogues outside the border to be that many. It took me and my men a whole day to fight them off. By the time we were done I was so exhausted that all I wanted was to lay down and have Maya massage my back.Maya.Just thinking about her brought a smile to my face. I knew I had hurt her. I knew she hated me. But what was done was done. I was raised with one goal and that was to destroy her parents and take their pack.Yes I had used her to get close to them. I got into a relationship with her and gained their trust. But somewhere along the way I fell madly in love with her and now I could not let her go. The thought of her being away from me made my chest ache in a way I could not explain. My family did not approve of her. They never would. If anyone saw me being soft with her they would turn against me in a heartbeat. I had not come this far just to lose everything over feelings. So I had to hide how I felt. I had to pretend."Damien!"I turned toward the voic

MAYADamien came rushing toward me with his arms open like he expected me to run into them. Like nothing had happened. Like he had not destroyed my entire world.I held up my hand before he could touch me and he stopped in his tracks."You should leave. You are disrupting the peace of this pack" I said. My voice was steady even though my insides were shaking. He frowned like my words confused him. "I heard the Lycan King bought you. Do not worry I will buy you back okay? We can...""I am not going back with you. I would rather stay here so please leave" I said and turned to walk away.He grabbed my wrist before I could take a single step."Maya you..."A gunshot cracked through the air and Damien released me instantly. The bullet missed his head by less than an inch. His eyes went wide and his men behind him reached for their weapons.I looked over my shoulder and my breath caught in my throat. The Lycan King was standing behind me with a gun still raised and smoke curling from the ba

MAYA The vehicle stopped and the sudden silence woke me up. I blinked a few times trying to get my bearings. My body still ached from the rejection but the short nap had given me just enough strength to sit up without wincing. Ethan opened my door from outside and cold mountain air rushed in like a slap to the face. I shivered and pulled the thin auction gown tighter around my body. It did almost nothing. "We are here" Ethan said. His voice was neutral. Not kind. Not cruel. Just empty. I swung my legs out and my bare feet touched stone. It was freezing. I stood up slowly and raised my head. My entire body went still. The Lycan Kingdom was not a kingdom. It was a fortress built by gods. Massive stone walls stretched higher than any building I had ever seen. They were dark grey and ancient with deep claw marks carved into t

MAYA After leaving Asher's study I walked back to my wing alone. Ethan had not waited for me. No one had. I was starting to get used to that. The corridors were long and confusing. Every hallway looked the same. Dark stone walls. Silver torches. Paintings of dead kings with judging eyes. I made two wrong turns before I finally found my door. I stepped inside and closed it behind me. The room was exactly how I left it. Cold. Empty. Silent. But it was mine. For now at least. I sat on the bed and let out a long breath. My body was exhausted but my mind would not stop racing. Commander Rhea. Training at dawn. A contract that basically made me a prisoner with a title. I needed to eat. Asher told me to eat well tonight and something about the way he said it made me believe that tomorrow was going to be the worst day of my life.
