Brett POVIt was my turn again. Reaching forward, my hand hesitated as I felt the sharp sting of a fist hitting something hard. Like a face. It wasn’t my hand that I felt the pain from. That’s when I realized how angry Piercy was. “Piercy?” I asked in our mind-link. “Brett?” Brittany got my attention. “Are you okay?” Looking at Gavin, he had his beta face on. “Don’t react. Just keep playing.” He said instantly to me. “Yeah. I’m good.” Grabbing a card, I could hear Piercy grunt, but nothing else. “Red three. Um, Stacy, what is your biggest turn on?” I asked, but looked back at the stairs. “What is he doing?” “One of the rogues showed up here.” Gavin grabbed his drink and fake laughed at something. Following his lead, I kept feeling my fist burning. “Where is the other one?” “He isn’t saying, but he said he isn’t far.” “I’m the target. We need to get Stacy and Brittany away from me.
