Asshole brother

Rio. It's twelve days already, and I'm completely restless. It's time to meet up with my deal with Hunter. He's demanding I pay millions for his lost shipment, but I only have a hundred thousand dollars with me. I had to sell my late mother's old car to raise that one hundred grand, only it's going to do little to pacify Hunter. With the way things are going, I might lose my position as the stand-in leader of the pack, or I might get banished from the pack by those conservative elders. Honestly, I don't know what to think again, except that I'm in trouble. I look over the bedroom window, down at the massive pack ground, while thoughts ping through my mind. I fasten my tie while Pudim stands behind me with my suit. “Have you figured out the shits that went on between Veil and alpha Damon yet, alpha?” His curious voice crackles through the battle raging inside me. “Not yet. I might have an inclination to what happened.” I supply, my eyes picking up Veil's figure moving over the

Rio. I've been in the bar for three hours, and yet there's no sign of Hunter. Discomfort begins to reel in, forcing me to keep darting my eyes downstairs at the entrance. Only the quietness of the bar seems to keep me from losing control already. A waitress comes, bearing the bottle of scotch I'd ordered, a flat smile on her face. She bows, “Here it is, alpha.” The tone of her voice is filled with admiration for me. That's what I get for being one of the Three Devils, the pack members, especially women, rave about. At least, they act demure around me, knowing I'm married. I nod my thanks and lift my glass to her. She pours in a measured quantity and turns away. I take the liquid, grunting at the burn it leaves in its wake in my throat, eyes back at the door below. “The fuck are you, Hunter?” I grumble under my breath, feeling uneasy. I don't understand his reason for keeping me waiting for so long. Doesn't he know I've got some work to attend to? I dial his number for the

Alpha dick

Rio. An air of awkwardness slips between us. That question is upsetting. I've never once told anyone what I feel while fucking myself for the world to see. But one thing is certain. I feel nothing but pleasure. The kind I don't even feel when I'm knee-deep into Emma. The reason is obvious. I think about Veil while I'm in that fantasy world, playing the role of the man who openly loves his stepsister. “It's fun. What else do you expect?” I hiss, turning my eyes away. Laughter greets my words. “Fun. Interesting.” He beckons to a waitress. As she comes, Hunter fucks her with his eyes. “Get me some wine.” He faces me as she walks away. “So this fun you're having, does your precious wife know about it?” “Shit!” I curse, brows curling. “No one knows except you, and no one should know.” “Hm,” he bobs his head, eyes lighting up when the waitress returns with the drink. Taking a gulp, he blurts. “You enjoy cheating then.” “I don't.”“Lies.” My heart gallops, this discussion is g

Hunter. It's clear Rio takes me for a fool, that damned stepbrother of mine. I gave him twelve days to give me back my money, but he thought I was joking. Soon, he'll understand I'm not. By the time I take my first action, he'll understand I'm not to be messed with. He has kept that secret for years, streaming online for millions of people across the realm to watch, but that was just a cover-up to what he actually wanted. He is in love with someone, and I'm just about to find out who that person is. I wasn't expecting him to reveal the person's identity at the bar. I just wanted him to know I have lots of guesses in my mind. Something at the back of my mind tells me it's Veil; however, I can't point fingers until I'm sure. Bile curls over my taste bud at the thought of Rio being secretly in love with Veil. Not that I care about his private life, I'm only looking for something I could use as leverage against him since he started this war between us from the very beginning of m

This is unusual

Veil. “Arms out!” Emma's voice thunders loudly in the field, prompting our next action. With a wince, I spread out my arms as did other servants in the field. It's our supposed Slave and servant training, and Emma happens to be conducting it. All the while, her gaze is fixed on me as she stands under the umbrella the guard is holding over her head. Well, that's not the same for us. We've been standing under the hot sun for three hours, sweating profusely as we get tanned up. “Hands up!” She thunders again, and we move our hands up. However, mine causes me to wince, and I lower my arms abruptly. “Number 123, why aren't you complying with orders? Perhaps you want to get whipped?” Emma asks, referring to me by my training number. She advances forward, jaw gritting hard until she pauses before me. My head lowers on autopilot. I refuse to meet that sinister gaze of hers. Somehow, I've an inkling she decided to conduct this absurd training because of me, just to punish me. “Do you

Veil. I've been pacing the length of my bedroom relentlessly since twilight came, processing the offer Caroline and Ava gave me earlier. Attend a bonfire party with them. I honestly don't know who is hosting the party. I didn't ask, but I must say the offer is tempting. I've never been to any party since I eloped with Ryder, that's if you're not counting the ones he held just to punish me and make some money. Right now, the need to be out there overwhelms me. I truly want to see what the pack's nightlife is like again. I want to feel the familiar environment of Moonbloom. That's the reason I'm tempted, and everything in me is screaming I should accept to go out with them, after all, they were once my best friends and they've pleaded for my forgiveness. Inviting me to this party is their way of making amends and rekindling our old bond as friends. That's a good catch, isn't it? Gilly's silently watching me pace around and think aloud. I wonder what's going through her mind righ

A psychotic one

Veil. “I…I can explain.” I blurt, immediately launching into explanation. He storms into my space, the raw anger in his face making my throat dry. My heart patters in my chest as I bend backward while he looms over me.“I didn't…know it was your party, I swear to the goddess.” I drone on even though he hasn't said anything yet. Gosh, fear can make someone babble unnecessarily. Well, it's not my fault. When your stepbrother is staring at you with such hatred in his eyes as if you're Medusa who'd turn him into stone, you're bound to blurt nonsense. My back sprains, causing me to wince. Thankfully, I press it into the bike behind me while holding his dangerous stare, praying my life is spared inwardly. “If you doubt me, you can ask Caroline…” A muscle ticks in his jaw. After a while, he pulls away, turning his back to me with one sentence dripping from his mouth. “Stay the fuck away from me tonight, witch.” He storms off, his aura making me tremble in fear. Ugh, what did I get m

You're evil

Hunter. Things are going according to plan. Caroline and Ava finally lured the witch, Veil, here, whom I'll use to torment the devils out of Rio.Those two girls, Ava and Caroline, would do anything for my dick. But this time around, I promised them a date with me at the Citadel. The Citadel offers some of the best panoramic views in the realm, and the moment I mentioned the offer, they jumped at it.Apparently, they want my attention beyond fucking them. That aside, I love how they brought Veil here, making her think tonight is going to end well for her. She isn't expecting the twist that'll come from it, but I do. And right this minute, the twist has just begun to play out. Marion, the psychotic president of White Devils, is currently looking for his beloved patch. The very one I slipped into Veil's bag earlier. She thought I was there to give her a welcome hug, as if that would ever happen. I nearly had a heart attack while standing in front of her in the parking lot. She's

Get over yourself

Veil. Gilly was right. Caroline and Ava only lured me here to make fun of me and accuse me. I expected them to act up, but not like this. They've put me in a compromised position with a biker president who's supposedly psychotic, according to his brother. These biker guys are dangerous, and I've always been careful not to get into a tight spot with them. All the while I was chattering and dancing with Jason it kept hammering in my mind to be careful; unfortunately, I've unknowingly gotten tangled with one. A psychotic one. Killing is like a sport to these bikers. Marion especially looks like he enjoys it, and for a moment, when he grabbed me, I knew he’d take pleasure in cutting me to pieces until nothing was left.My skin crawls at the gruesome images gathering in my head. Goddess knows I'll die before he puts a blade on me. Heck, I was already dying when he tried to tie me to his bike and take me away from the pack. Surprisingly, Hunter stepped in. I wasn't expecting he'd in

Sodom and Gomorrah haven

Veil. We drive through the pack for a couple of minutes until we pull up before a grand, unfamiliar stone manor surrounded by trees. The steep, slate roofs and windows give it an elegant look. Jasper drives past the wrought iron gate, following Hunter through the long, cobblestone driveway that curves toward the entrance, framed by sculpted gardens. Hunter has already killed his engine, dismounting from the bike and removing his helmet, his movement brisk. He doesn't wait around for me. He just climbs the front stone staircase in three long strides, going into the house. I dismount quietly from the bike as Jasper stops, flitting my eyes around the place. “Where is this place?” I ask Jasper, but his response is shocking. “That's not my question to answer.” I stare back at him, biting my cheek inwardly in shame. I've almost forgotten my place in this pack, but the people do not waste time reminding me. He restarts the bike and drives away, leaving me standing there alone. That
