Elara's POV I sat on the steps of the pack house, watching as Ronan's black Range Rover drove in. Ronan got out of the car, a gentle smile on his face. “Hey there.” I stood slowly, studying his face. Sure he was smiling, but that smile was not anywhere near his eyes. “Ro, what's up?” I asked softly. He sighed, letting his smile drop. The anger radiating off of him became more palpable. “That man,” he hissed. Oh no. Asher upset him. Asher had a way of making other Alphas angry. Only that I would assuage their anger afterwards. “What did he say?” “He actually…” Ronan paused. “Come, I need to give Alpha my report at the same time.” I opened Kaden's door without knocking. He looked up from the security review he was doing with Leo. “Kaden, Ronan is back,” I said, walking to the couch and plopping down beside him. Ronan walked in after me, his face hard.
