Kehlani “Me?” I repeated, confused. “Yeah.” He laughed. “Just stay calm. It's fine. Relax. Be free with me. Totally, please.”“Ohh.” I nodded. Wondering what the real deal was and waiting for him to address it so I could leave already. I was already kind of tired. I bowed my head, picking my nails. “How old are you?”“Huh?”He relaxed back into his chair and there's a polite smile on his face. “It's just a question. I hope you're not offended.”“No.” I replied confused. “I'm eighteen.” “Great.” He clapped his hands. “At least, you're an adult. No minor.” “Is there any problem? Why did you ask that?” I questioned him, something felt off. I mean it feels like something is wrong. I don't feel comfortable because he's not showing any sign of informality.“There's no problem. I know things are messy right now.” He takes a deep breath, staring at me intensely. I stared back at him. Brent is one the youngest teachers in school. He looked twenty five or twenty six if you asked me. Has a

Kehlani Darcie hands are in her pockets, posing as if she's taking a constructive look at me. She finally opened her mouth to speak. “Hey.”I'm not close to her. But she's probably Maddie's type of friend. Gosh, I hope she's not the rude type at all. “Hi.” I cleared my throat. “So, we're having our project starting today. Like, immediately. Maddie's house. School to home.”Immediately? Maddie's house? I don't even go with the idea. Why maddie? It made my skin crawl with unease and I moved my eyes to her. She's laughing with liv and Brianna. Then her intimidating glare met mine. I looked away, facing Darcie. “Okay. But, can't I go home first to ....freshen up and eat and…”“Don't worry. You can do that at her place. We got everything there.” She placed her hands on my shoulders and I'm taken aback by her sudden sweet behavior. I really hope Darcie isn't like those mean girls that traumatized my life. Olive pulled me into a hug. “Bye, girl. We'll talk later.” She pulled away and sta

Kehlani “What are you guys doing?” I stood up and moved back, but they just held onto me, dragging my dress. “D-darcie, come on. Help.”“Oh, girl. Just chill. We promise, it's just a club and we go home straight. Nothing's going to happen. We're all gonna be safe.” She said, in an assuring tone. “Exactly. What's with you anyways. Always acting like you're not mature.” Maddie adds, looking me up and down like I was an outsider. Of course, it's what I am right now. I don't feel okay or happy with this freaking idea. Liv and Brianna pushed me forward into the bathroom to have a shower. Before I could scurry back to the door, it was already locked. “Hey, let me out this instant! You guys!”“Quit yelling!” Brianna banged the door. I stepped back, breathing hard. Folding my arms, realizing I don't have a choice. If I decided to keep on yelling, they wouldn't answer me. If I also decide to stay quiet all the time without taking my bath, they still won't answer me. I stomped my feet hard

Kehlani “Okay.” The woman said and she left. Brent smiled at me, placing both hands on the table. “Hey.”I suddenly don't feel like eating anymore. “What are you doing here? I thought you left. I thought we left each other.” I feel the little happiness I had washed down. I really don't want him close to me. She came back with a tray and dropped his food too. He smiled. “Thank you.” “Don't worry. Bill’s on me.” He says she left. I lowered my gaze at him. He's acting like a stalker now. But I shouldn't feel threatened by his presence with me. I took a deep breath and started to eat. I don't act shy. In fact, I'm depressed. Wishing it was Trevor that was with me and not him. “So…? Got a girlfriend?” I asked before I could stop myself, then slowly pulled the spoon out of my mouth, regretting why I said so. “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to….”“No. No. It's fine. It's okay.” He chuckled. “Well, I don't.”“Okay.” Silence. Oh, gosh. “That's a stupid question I didn't mean to ask. Sorry.” I

Kehlani “Get off of me. You punk!” I screamed, trying to break free but his body pressed down on mine was heavy, he started nuzzling me but I shut my eyes in sorrow, feeling his lips on my neck made me mad. I kicked him with my knees on his belly but nothing worked. “Help!” He-”He covered my mouth. “Kehlani. Please. Don't make this feel like rape. I like you. Let me do this, please.”“Get off of me.” I repeated, gritting my teeth. “Now!” My eyes sparked with rage. “Or I'll tell everyone!”He paused for a while. “Are you trying to ruin my career? Why would you do that?”I acted fast, releasing my hands and pushing and fighting him back. When I managed to break free and get off the couch, he grabbed my waist and pushed me back. Then, I heard a loud bang from the door. Someone had stormed in and before Brent could process what was happening, a glass shattered on his head and he slumped flat on my body before falling to the floor. I started gasping and breathing hard as I stood abrupt
