The brush jumped.“Keep going,” he whispered against my skin. “Don’t stop.”I tried.The next line I painted was a little less steady. Gold smeared wider than I meant. His mouth stayed on my neck, open and warm, kissing the same place again, then lower, right over my pulse. I felt him breathe me in. Then he bit down, just enough to make heat shoot through me.I moaned. “Dante.”“Yes, baby.”“You’re distracting me.”My voice came out whiny and breathless. I felt him smile against my throat.“I know,” he murmured. “You sound so pretty when I do.”His lips moved lower, to my shoulder, to the edge of the yellow dress. The fabric was thin. His mouth was hotter. He kissed the bare skin there like he had all afternoon.“Do you want me to stop, baby?”I shook my head. My fingers tightened around the brush.He kissed the curve of my shoulder again, slower. “Use your words, my love.”I swallowed.
