Angela stepped back blankly, his words didn’t hurt her that much now because her attention was only on her child. She shook her head frantically. “Gideon, don’t say it like this, please.” She sighed shakily. “I know why you are doing this…to hurt me. Say anything ugly you want, but I want to see my child now. You remember when you came that night in my room. Axel was there. If you don’t believe me, I will show you. Let me go home and bring him here. Then you will see how much he looks like you.” She laughed weakly through tears. Gideon squinted his eyes at her broken smile. Oh, how many lies she would sputter. His gaze shifted behind her to Dash, who stood equally stunned. “Exactly, right? And we couldn’t trace him till now.” He looked at his beta questioningly. If this were true, why had her background shown no trace of pregnancy or a child? His best investigator couldn’t have made such an omission.Angela turned, following his gaze.
