Aria's pov Opening the door I growled sternly, “Stop whatever you both are doing!” I eyed Jasper who had shifted into Nyko and was panting angrily at Lark who was sitting with his legs crossed looking unperturbed, it was unnerving and struck me as strange. “Are you not concerned?” Shaking his head he said, “I wouldn't kill the father of my…of Aella.” “See, Jasper, calm yourself and shift back. You look ridiculous dressed as your beast,” I muttered sourly. I carried my pup behind Jasper's desk and dragged a chair behind me to sit next to my irritated mate. “He said Aella was his,” Jasper hissed then added, “He's not even a wolf.” “Our daughter is the one to decide that once she reaches maturity,” I asserted firmly, then glared at the strange, dark-skinned creature. “You will abide by that or your stone outcrops will be bulldozed, mister Skinner.” Narrowing his yellow eyes, Lark nodded once, which was satisfactory to me. “Is Aella's mark so you can transport directly to her?”
