Semua Bab Rebounding With The Alpha Hockey Star: Bab 61 - Bab 70

WILLOW The next couple of hours fly by pretty fast. Rowan covers all the basics. I’m thinking that mere coffee isn’t enough to show my appreciation. What else could I offer him for all his help?“That’s the last of it.” He exhales, leaning away from the desk. He stretches his arms above his head. “Wow. I think we covered all your courses.”“Yeah. We did,” I giggle. “I actually feel more confident now that I’ve been brought up to speed on everything I missed.”“I’m glad you feel that way.”“You should let me treat you to dinner.” I stare at my watch. It’s nine pm. Most of the nice restaurants off campus are usually packed around this time of night. Hopefully, we can manage to get a nice seat. “You want to buy me a meal?” he shakes his head. “I’m afraid I’m going to have to decline.”“Why?” I pout, batting my lashes at him. “Come on, you have to accept. It’s the least I could do.”“Sorry. It’s not like I don’t want to eat with you.” He gives me a sheepish look. “It’s just, I’m heading

WILLOW“Don’t freak out Willow honey but your dad, he bought you an island as well.” Nathan grimaces, no doubt enjoying himself at my expense. “Ignore him,” Terrence huffs, rolling his eyes at the chuckling lawyer. “What? Willow looks like she can take a joke. Can’t you, Willow?”“Not really,” I say dryly. Then, I turn to my dad. “What else did you buy?”“It’s um,” he winces, most likely guessing that I’m close to my wit’s end. “Jewelry. For the solstice ball. Helen said you’re going.”“It’s a rare diamond, with a setting of rubies. It was worn by a Lycan queen, over a thousand years ago.”“And how much did this rare necklace cost?”“What does it matter?” “It does! I could have that money donated to charity. Or an orphanage. There are children starving at those orphanages, who barely have enough to put together. And now, you want me to what? Wear a necklace that probably cost a million dollars?”“It cost three million,” Nathan supplies. “Shut up Nate,” Terrence growls. My eyes wi

WILLOWViolet and I come up with a plan. A way to get Vincent off my back, at least for a few hours. The Delta sorority is hosting their cookout, which holds every three months. For the sake of team spirit, we usually get the hockey team to help us set up. They help with decorations. Run errands at the supermarket. It’s an old tradition that’s supppsed to foster the bond between the hockey players and the cheerleaders. This month, the council has decided on making chili. The cookout is the day after the upcoming hockey game.Violet and I are planning to create a situation today, one that’ll require Vincent’s attention.“Are you sure this is going to work?” Violet groans. “If this plan fails Willow, your smoking hot bodyguard is going to hate me. And then, it’ll ruin all future chances with him.”“It’ll work,” I assure her. “You’ll just have to sell it. Trust me. If there’s one thing I know about Vincent, it’s that he’s got a hero complex. He likes coming to the rescue.”“Okay then. S

WILLOW“What did you just say?”Something is very wrong. Aiden and I are fighting in a way we’ve never done before. Usually, we’re so understanding of each other, in sync and ready to support each other’s needs and feelings. But this— this feels like something we can’t control. “You heard me,” I glower. “I’m sure you don’t want to take me to the ball anymore. You’re so hellbent on your belief that I had been on a date with Rowan. You were with Lauren last night but you won’t admit it.”“For fuck’s sake, will you quit it with Lauren? I wasn’t with her. I mean, we talked for a bit but that’s it. Hey!” I’m turning to leave but he grabs my arm, halting my steps. We’re angry at each other and honestly, I can understand why. He’s being unreasonable. He hung up on me this morning and conveniently forgot to call me back. All because he believed that I had been on a date with Rowan last night. Is that why he’d posted the video with Lauren in it? To get back at me?“Willow, what the fuck?” A

VINCENTI’ve never lost a charge before. Never questioned my capabilities to protect those I’m assigned to keep safe. I’ve had my fair share near death experiences. Seen thousands of werewolves drop dead during the Lycan war. Nothing fazes me anymore. It takes a lot to make even a crack in my perfectly cooked armor. Willow Thompson comes pretty close today. Can’t believe she made someone hex me and have me confined to a sorority house. Her best friend’s was the first face I saw when I woke up. If she was anyone else, I would have attacked her. Roughed her up abit before demanding the truth. But she’s not just anybody. She’s Violet, my charge’s best friend. She’s currently hysterical, following me around the sorority house like a lost puppy, trying to get me to send the re-inforcements away.I block her out as much as I can, without losing focus of the perimeter. I’ve got guards stationed at every window and entrance door. There are more guards stationed outside. They are keeping a
