Lahat ng Kabanata ng DEAR EX HUSBAND, YOU LOVED ME TOO LATE: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

BREE’S POVSimon was usually so easy.I mean he was prone to drink all the time since I had been here, a very nasty attitude by the way, but now it was a bit beneficial to me today… i did not even have to do anything and he damn near drank himself to stupor.I walked into Anika’s room and opened up her wardrobe and scoffed. All of this luxury, it could have been mine, but she just had to steal my mine, and every other thing that belonged to me.“You are lucky you already died Anika” I hissed under my breath. And suddenly having her pushed down was not enough for me.Well too bad for her, Simon was mine now… I was the one bearing his kids and I would soon be the one that owned his heart.Soon enough, Anika would be no more than a distant dream. He would be mine, heart body and soul.Tonight, it was just the first step to forever.I padded into the bedroom, the soles of my feet silent against the hardwood.I opted to wear Anika’s sheer black lingerie, not like it belonged to he

ANIKA’S POV“Good morning Madam”“Hi Flora, and I have told you before just call me Anika,” I said. She smiled warmly. “Alright Anika.”I was still in so much disbelief. So much so that sometimes it just hit me out of nowhere. One minute I would be walking through the studio, hearing the soft hum of sewing machines, watching fabrics come to life under skilled hands… and then it would just settle in.This was my life now.One day I was just some secretary in a loveless marriage. And now I was renowned fashion designer, Akina.I liked that name.It felt like a new beginning.Like a version of me that was untouched by everything that had happened before. The fashion show that Liam had put together was a massive success, and now my designs have been one of the most anticipated designs.Everywhere I turned, there was always, something?A magazine cover.A blog post.A review.Even though I told Liam that I still wanted to be anonymous. He had made sure that my face was scrapped out from al

LIAM’S POV Rosewood City was usually known for its crisp weather. But for some reason, the every moment that my legs stepped down from the plane, all I could feel was suffocation, which normally would make no sense, I mean the sun was bright, the city had strict laws on pollution and so the air was clean. But it was not just about the weather, or the clean streets, or vibrant trees, no, it was more about the fact that this was the city that Anika almost lost her life. The thought attacked me without any warning, sending sharp piercing through my chest.I still remember that day so clearly like it was just yesterday. The way my hands were shaking as I held her weak frame in my arms, how scared I was as I begged her not to close her eyes, not to leave me alone in this world.I had never gotten over the guilt of coming too late that day, but much more than that I had never gotten over the anger I had towards those that hurt her, I would never forgive that.Whether Anika ever voic

LIAM’S POV“You’re late.”I could not even hide the irritation in my voice, not even if I tried, and trust me, I really did try, but it was not working. There were so many reasons why I could not stand him right now. A whole list lined up in my head actually. First, here he was, fifteen minutes late to the appointment like I had all the time in the world. Secondly, he dressed so tacky, like this was some roadside meeting and not a professional setting. And then there was the elephant in the room, the one thing that overshadowed everything else.I hated him.And honestly, forgive me for not being too fond of the man who stood there doing nothing while my woman was thrown off that roof.My jaw tightened at the thought.Even though his greatest loss did inevitably become my greatest blessing, I could not get over the fact that he was the one who put her through all of that.Whatever Anika had planned, I really hoped it was worth it, because I was hanging on by a thread here. Every insti

ANIKA’S POV“Good morning, my angel.”I needed to send offerings to whatever angel from above brought this man into my life, because how could someone be so perfect… and yes, it had everything to do with that and not the fact that he was standing there shirtless, dressed only in a pair of grey sweatpants that clung low on his hips, exposing that defined V line and that sinful trail of hair that disappeared beneath the waistband. He set the tray down in front of me like it was nothing, like he was not out here casually ruining my sanity before breakfast.“I know that I am good looking but Angel, if you keep looking at me this way I don’t think that you will have any time to eat,” he said. His gaze was heated, slow and deliberate, and then he bent down to kiss me.I pushed lightly against his chest. “Relax, babe, morning breath,” I said.“To hell with that,” he growled softly, his hand sliding to the back of my neck before he pulled me in and crushed his lips to mine. And just like that
