All Chapters of My Husband Wanted My Kidney And Not My Love: Chapter 1 - Chapter 10

Janice stood in the quiet sterile room of the hospital, the acrid smell of the hospital disinfectants infesting her nostrils as she stood in the hospital gown, her hands clutched to the consent forms that's awaiting her signature to save a life.Only her breathing and that of Nelson, struggling for his life could be heard in the silent room. For the past nine months, her husband, Nelson Smith has been fighting for his life due to kidney failure, and without surgery, he has less than four months to live.Nobody in his family matched after tests were done. Not even his siblings, parents, or cousins, except one person; Janice Capuno, his wife."Mrs. Smith, I know this might be hard on you, but you have to be strong, not just for yourself, but for your husband." Nurse Tiana said calmly, patting her back when she saw the uncertainty in Janice's expression."Ms. Smith, you have thirty minutes left to get yourself ready for prep." The surgeon said when he stopped by to check on her.Even

"Mrs. Smith, we can't offer you such an amount of loan without your husband's approval." Mr. Leonard, the company's financial controller, said, his voice firm and determined.Janice lowered her head and pouted her lips."Mr. Leonard, hope you know that we're talking about my husband's life here, right? Mr Nelson has shares worth over $100 billion in this company. And now that he's battling with his life, do you mean to tell me that you'd rather wish him death than offer him a loan that can be compensated with his shares?" Janice asked, raising her brows in a slight frown.Mr. Leonard remained silent."Oh, wait." Janice scoffed."You know, I've always heard rumours of how you want to take over my husband's position at the company. Is this now your plan to finally secure it? You're angry that he's gonna survive after getting a transplant, right?""Com'on, madam. This is emotional blackmail. And...why would I wish my boss such evil?" Leonard argued.Janice pressed her lips and nodded."

“What if you find out that you're pregnant?” The question sank deeper than it should be, slicing her thoughts in pieces that left her praying inwardly with words of rejection. Janice squeezed her eyes shut to dismiss any positive thoughts surrounding that suspicion. "I won't force that thought in me, Dian. I'll never wish to be pregnant with Nelson's child." Janice declared, her voice firm and resolute. She remembered the pains she had passed through during her first child birth. She remembered the few times that Nelson's love began to dwindle, unknown to her that another woman was in the picture. She foolishly used to trust him whenever he complained of the stress at work. She lost her first baby. She expected Nelson to cry along with her, but he seemed unbothered. Even with that, she kept on persuading him to let her have a second baby, but he refused the idea, claiming that he hates seeing her in pain. She had to normalise taking contraceptives just as a woman who's done with ch

“Surprised?” Tricia raised her brows, her face carrying the weight of an evil smile just like her wicked mind. She took a step closer, her eyes scanning the object in Janice's hands “No need to hide it anymore, Janice. I've seen everything!” She scoffed.“You've seen nothing, Tricia.” Janice objected."Eww no!" Tricia screamed irritably, squishing her face with disgust while trying to cover her nose as the unpleasant smell from the messy floor hit her nostrils."Wow! You really think I've seen nothing, huh? You're pregnant, miss Capuno." Tricia scoffed."That's none of your business even if I am." Janice replied wittingly and went ahead to spill the water on the floor which almost splashed on Tricia's legs."So, tell me. Is the pregnancy Nelson's?" She asked impatiently and continued to rant even without waiting to get a reply."Well, I bet not. That's because Nelson told me of how he hasn't touched you in months due to his sickness. Which means, you've been cheating on that innocent

As soon Janice's phone beeped with an alert, she pressed her lips in a smirk before hoping into Nelson's car.Dian stood speechless, her arms wrapped around her chest in disappointment as she watched them drive away. The silence in the car that now felt too small for two people carried a heavy weight of detachment. Janice sat by the window, her eyes fixed on the beauty of nature as they drove past the trees.Nelson's hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, his eyes focused on the road, yet he stylishly glanced at her from the corner of his eye, careful not to turn his head and get caught, unbeknownst him that Janice had already noticed his side glanced, but Just choose to replace the sweet memories they once shared with resentment.“Mmmmm” Nelson cleared his throat awkwardly and finally broke the silence. “Is this the life you now want for yourself, Janice?” He matched the break and asked, shifting his gaze to keep it fixed on her.“Back at the mansion, I clothed you for free.
