DamianThe machines screamed to life again, their sharp, relentless beeping drilling straight into my skull as the sound swallowed the entire room. The doctor and nurses rushed in immediately, their movements urgent, almost frantic. Dad turned toward me, gripping my arms tightly as if I might fall apart in his hands.“Alpha Damian, you need to calm down. You aren’t stable enough for your pulse to spike like this,” He said firmly, his voice strained as he glanced toward the Dad.“I knew this was a bad idea, Alpha King,” the doctor snapped, already turning to the nurses. “Get me the syringe. Now.”Footsteps scattered in every direction. Metal clanged. Voices overlapped.“I need you to stay calm, Alpha Damian,” the doctor continued, sharper this time. “You’re putting yourself at risk, your wolf, your recovery, everything. The silver in your system was severe even though in small quantity. You’re only just stabilizing, and if you lose control now…”He didn’t finish. He didn’t need to, bec

Damian “Alpha, so far, she’s stable,” Doctor Andrew said, his tone calm but measured. “I’ll need to review her latest test results to determine whether discharging her today is even an option.”“But she isn’t awake yet,” I pointed out, my voice edged with concern as Doctor Andrew gave a small, knowing smile.“That’s because of the injections she was given. There’s no cause for alarm. Her body needs rest… real rest, to allow her wolf’s healing process to function properly. Still, I’ll go through the reports and get back to you as soon as I can.” He explained patiently. “He turned and began to walk away, leaving me alone with Dad. But just before he completely stepped out of the room, his voice slipped into my head through the mindlink. Even though it was faint, it was clear enough for me to catch.‘If you don’t mind, Alpha, I strongly suggest you keep anything concerning your mate’s abilities to yourself for now… at least until we understand what we’re dealing with.’My brows furrow

Aurora “Like what you see?” He asked softly. But I didn't have any answers. My eyes remained fixed on the dishes. It was a combination of different dishes, all enticing and alluring, to say the least. Mashed potatoes and richly sauced chicken, broccoli stew, a soft pancake, grilled rice, and small berries arranged neatly on a plate.I found myself staring at the meal longer than necessary as my appetite surged and heightened, followed by a sudden rush of memories that came flooding back, sharp and unexpected.I was a Beta’s daughter, so one would assume I was used to good meals before everything fell apart, but no.It felt strangely foreign to be served such a carefully prepared spread, and even more unsettling to be watched by a man who sat there silently, as though willing me to start eating already.“Since you haven't had anything proper these past five days, it's only wise you start eating already. Unless, of course, you want me to feed you?” His lips curled knowingly to the side

AuroraKeira told me before now that she sensed our mate was up to something, and she loved the feel of whatever that was, and was waiting earnestly for it.She said she could feel his wolf’s excitement. It was faint, barely there, like a distant flicker of awareness, but still… she felt it. And because she was still weak, still recovering, she couldn’t wait to heal properly, just so she could finally meet his wolf fully, without limitations, without this frustrating distance. And she had said being with our mate was helping her heal so much faster than ever. I know she’s excited to be around him.And me… I’m not saying I wasn’t happy. At least the coldness was gone. That suffocating distance that once existed between us had faded, even if not completely. And aside from the fact that he was clearly burdened by something he hadn’t said yet, something heavy lingering behind his eyes, I knew, at least for now, he wasn’t pushing me away. But still…I didn’t know why a part of me refused t

DamianI felt her stir when I brought out that simple gown, and it touched me really harder than I intended. It's true she had faced cruel treatment these past four years with Liam as his personal slave; that for sure I knew so well, and she isn't used to this type of luxury, but there again, it gutted me to see that tear slip out of her cheeks.Aaron stirred relentlessly, furiously willing to take over, to take away the pain and erase the memories from her. We don't know her background yet, except the four years I was able to gather information about. I had told myself it didn't matter then… but now, somehow, I wished I knew everything about her background. That way, it would be easier to soothe her and get to understand what she had been through before Liam's encounter. As I leaned forward, reaching to wipe the tears from her eyes, she stirred again, her body softening under my touch as she unconsciously leaned closer. I hadn’t expected the reaction that followed, the look in her ey
