Prologue

PrologueDamon POV“Ahhh… yes. That’s it, Alpha. You’re right there. F**k me harder, please.”I gritted my teeth, irritation crawling up my spine as her slutty moans echoed around my chamber, sharp and piercing, bouncing off the walls while I rammed into her from behind. She was too loud.*She’s too loud,* my wolf, Rowan, scoffed coldly in my head, his annoyance mirroring mine perfectly. That was it.“Keep your voice down, bitch, or I’m kicking you out of my room right now.”My voice came out as a warning growl, cutting through her scream. Right on cue, she went silent. Her body stiffened beneath my grip, breath hitching as fear replaced pleasure.“That’s better.”I snorted in disgust, gave her one final thrust, then pulled out and spilled my seed on the bed.The release did nothing to ease the tension coiled tight inside me, though and I couldn't help but scowl as I looked at her.“Your neck.”She didn’t hesitate. She flipped onto her back immediately, fingers trembling as she pushed

Chapter 1

Natasha POV"I'm sorry, Tash. I swear to Selene, I thought she was you.She look so much like you."Thought I was her? Didn’t know I had a twin? The words kept playing in my head like a broken record on repeat spinning and screeching until my skull felt too small to contain them.Seriously? My gaze dragged from the bastard I called my mate Kade fumbling with his trousers, hands shaking like he’d suddenly forgotten how they worked… to my twin sister.Naked and sprawled across the bed like she belonged there. The tangled sheets. The bare skin and the scent in the hotel room—Was a cruel, undeniable reminder of what I had walked in on barely two minutes ago on the night that was supposed to be the happiest of my life.My pre-wedding night.Yes, she looked like me. Same face. Same height. But she wasn’t me.I was taut and muscular from years of hard punishing work with calloused hands. My body carried proof of survival and hard life while Katherina was soft and untouched. Smooth in places l

Chapter 2

Natasha POVThe moment I arrived at the small apartment I shared with Kade, I began gathering the few of his belongings scattered around the house. There weren’t many of them, just a couple of shirts, his worn leather jacket, a pair of boots by the door, but even that little was enough to reopen wounds that had barely begun to close.I gathered every single one of them, and hell, the moment my fingers brushed against his jacket, fresh tears burned behind my eyes as memories, too many of them that we had shared in this apartment, flooded my mind. The late nights sex we normally use to have on this same couch. His laughter echoing through the tiny kitchen whenever we cooked and made jokes, the way he used to pull me close like I was the only thing that mattered in his world. My throat tightened painfully. For someone who had cried the entire ride back here, I had promised myself I wouldn't cry anymore. And yet, here I was again. Of course, the promise didn't last long.Pathetic.My fing

Chapter 3

Natasha POVFor a moment, the world seemed to pause the instant the strange man dropped the bombshell.Nominations.Alpha Damon’s Mating Consort. The words echoed in my head, until my ears started ringing.Of course, everyone in our realm knew about Alpha Damon, the cold, ruthless Supreme Alpha of Nightangle Pack who ruled over all the werewolf clans. The only unmated Alpha left… even at almost thirty.Rumors said he had been desperately searching for his mate for years now. That was the reason this Mating Consort Ritual existed in the first place, a ritual where he would mate and mark every chosen unmated woman until he discovered which one was truly his destined mate. And honestly? There wasn’t a single young woman I knew who hadn’t secretly wished to spend a night with him.Rumor had it he was devastatingly handsome. But that wasn’t the rumor that truly captured everyone’s attention.No.It was what the women whispered about in hushed, heated tones, about how skilled he was at plea

Chapter 4

Natasha POVWhat… had I been caught? The thought slammed into my head so suddenly that my chest tightened. My mind started racing, my thoughts crashing over one another in a frantic rush. For a moment, everything around me seemed to fade away, and all I could hear was the sound of my own heartbeat beating loudly in my chest. The sound drowned out every other sound in the room, and even the low whispers of the women around us barely reached me.No… no, don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking.Don’t tell me I had been—“You bitch!”Everything happened too fast. One moment, Danica had been standing by the entrance with that infuriated look on her face, and the next moment she was right in front of me.Her sudden movement made several women nearby gasp and step back. Her long black-painted fingernails came dangerously close to my face as she jabbed a finger at me, her hand trembling with rage.“You’re the one, aren’t you?” she snapped, her face twisting in fury. “The same bitch who talked ba

Chapter 5

Alpha Damon POV“Alpha, your orders have been carried out. More cards have been given out and more women have been brought in to join the harem.”The moment Colleen, my Beta, said those words from across the study, I felt my heart do that familiar unpleasant flip, the one it always did whenever he brought news like that.My fingers, which had been typing quickly across the keyboard in front of me, slowed, then stopped completely. The soft clicking of the keys faded into silence as I leaned back slightly in my chair and looked up at him.My chest felt tight, like something heavy had settled on it.If anyone looked at me right now, they would probably think I had just been handed a death sentence.Hell, even the Moon knew how much I hated hearing about that damn ritual.Hating hearing the sound of more women being brought here.“How many?” I asked slowly, not because I actually cared. But because the silence was starting to stretch too long and I needed to say something.“Fifty.”Fifty.

Chapter 6: Meeting With The King

Natasha POVI knew I was in deep shit the moment I hit Lady Danica. Of course I knew it.But to be honest? I didn’t regret it. Not even a little. In fact, I had already played out every possible outcome in my head. Perhaps a death sentence or maybe a public execution. Something slow and cruel, meant to make an example out of me. My mind had looped through it so many times it almost felt real. And I could say for sure I was ready. Or at least, I thought I was. But hell, nothing, I repeat, nothing prepared me for this. Prepared me for the moment they said I would be taken to the Supreme Alpha himself.Damon.The air in the Alpha’s study was cold. Not just cool. Cold in a way that settled on your skin and stayed there. I felt it the second I was dragged in, the chill sliding over me slowly, deliberately, like it had intent. Like it knew.My throat dried instantly. For a moment, I couldn’t look up. Not because I didn’t want to, but because something in me refused to. Like my body knew befo

Chapter 7: The Alpha Losing Control...

Damon’s POV“Alpha… you seem a little bit distracted. Is something wrong?”The words from one of my pack elders hit me, sharp enough to snap me out of whatever haze I had drifted into.I blinked once, then again, my brows pulling slightly together as I dragged myself back to the present.Right.The royal court, where a meeting had been going on for about an hour now.I slowly lifted my head, my gaze moving across the room, taking in every face like I was seeing them for the first time.My elders and chiefs were seated on one side, backs straight, eyes fixed on me with a mixture of concern and quiet confusion on their faces.Across from me, my sister Danica sat with her legs crossed, an amused look on her face as her fingers tapped lazily against the armrest of her chair.Damn.I clenched my jaw faintly. This wasn’t like me.I wasn’t the kind of man who lost focus. Not once. Not ever. For years, I had ruled this throne with precision, with control so tight that nothing slipped through.

Chapter 8: No One Touches Her..

Damon’s POVThe words barely settled inside me before something in me snapped. The hell…My grip tightened around the armrest of my chair so hard my knuckles turned white. The wood gave a faint creak under the pressure I was exerting, and I could feel it digging into my palm, rough and solid, grounding me, but it did nothing to steady what was rising inside my chest.Burnt alive? The image flashed through my head almost immediately, sharp and sudden, like it had been waiting for a chance to break through. For a moment, I could almost see it clearly.Her.That stubborn yet fiery beauty, hands and legs tied up, body suspended on a f**king pyre. Flames climbing up her skin slowly while the entire pack gathered around to watch.F**k.The picture sent a sharp ache through my skull, and my chest tightened with it like something heavy was pressing down on it. Everything about it felt wrong.“No.”The word slipped out before I could stop it. Low and rough, but it carried enough weight to make

Chapter 9: M*sturbating To Her Scent

Damon's POVThe moment I finished dropping my verdict, I turned to leave but as I did, I felt Danica’s eyes on me. Watching and scrutinizing me, her glare literally burning through my back, but I ignored her and proceeded toward the double doors. I was done with her troubles for today. The heavy doors slammed open, then shut behind me with a loud thud the the sound echoing through the long corridor the moment I stepped outI exhaled sharply, flexing my shoulders as I took the long walk toward my chambers. The air around the corridor suddenly hot against my skin just too hot and suffocating and as I moved, I could still catch traces of her scent lingering in the air.It sounded impossible, but it was there. Maybe she came around this area and maybe that was why I scented it in the courtroom earlier. My jaw tightened at the thought while my boots echoed heavily against the marble floor. Guards stationed along the hallway lowered their heads respectfully as I passed, but I barely acknowl
