Brienne woke up feeling a little queasy. She rushed into the toilet and threw up everything. Once finished, she flushed the vomit and sat on the cold tile floor, massaging her tummy."Not again, baby," she whispered and sighed. Brienne got up and brushed her teeth; after that, she went out and walked towards the window. She opened the window, and a sudden gust of wind blew past her. Brienne breathed deeply and gasped. "Johnson, I think I may have angered Brienne," Raven said upon entering Johnson's office. The latter heaved a sigh and dropped his book."Do I look like a love advisor to you, my friend?" Johnson asked, crossing his arms. Raven sat on the chair in front of him, observing him intently."Of course not, but you're the only one here I could talk to," Raven replied. Johnson gave up on Raven's reasoning and straightened his back."Then go ahead and tell me what you did this time," Johnson said. Raven began to tell him everything."You are wrong in every way, Raven," Johnson said. "You just decided everything on your own without consulting her," he added."F*ck," Raven blurted."I'll take care of the news spreading. Raven, you have to respect her decision. Do that again, and that woman will leave you," he said. Raven felt his blood run cold hearing Johnson's statement."What should I do?" Raven whispered."What else? Of course, apologize to her and beg until she forgives you," Johnson said.

Brienne woke up to the sound of chirping birds outside her room. She stretched her arms and looked beside her. She immediately saw Raven sleeping soundly. Fortunately, it's Saturday, and she doesn't have work today. Brienne carefully removed Raven's hand from her stomach.Brienne looked at the small bump on her stomach and smiled. She caressed it but immediately stopped when she felt Raven move."Where are you going, darling?" he asked, placing his hand on her waist."To the bathroom, I wanted to pee," Brienne shyly said."Hmm," Raven said. "Okay, come back faster, please. It's Saturday; let's stay for an hour, then we'll tour the town," he added, eyes half-close."Alright, sleepyhead," Brienne said and walked towards the bathroom. Brienne closed the door of the car and did not wait for Raven to open the door for her. She's that excited to see the lake.The lake lay still and glassy, reflecting the dense trees and rugged mountains that framed its edge. After Raven dropped off Brienne at the office, he returned to the packhouse and went directly to the underground prison they had.Two warriors guarding the prison greeted Raven warmly."Where's the runaways?" he asked."On the third cell, Alpha," the warrior answered. Raven nodded and head inside. Immediately, he caught sight of the two women laughing and talking."This is the first time I've seen prisoners having fun while in jail," he said. The two stopped and looked at him, wary of his presence in the room."Because it’s actually better here in jail than in our pack," the woman with the auburn hair said. "At least, in here, we can eat three times a day, have decent clothes, and clean water," she added with a sad smile. Raven took a chair and sat in front of their cell."Which pack are you associated?" "Ow, it hurts," Brienne said as Raven applied the cotton balls containing medicine to her face. She pouted while staring at Raven."I'm sorry, darling, but I have to do that to heal those marks," he said, applying another one to her arms and neck. "You still won't tell me their names?" he added with a smile."No. I told you I would deal with them myself," Brienne said. It was her first time fighting back, and it felt somewhat liberating. "Don't even bother asking the CEO, Raven. I'm warning you," she added, raising an eyebrow."I won't," Raven said."Okay, but promise me," Brienne said, lifting her pinky finger."Cute," Raven said. Brienne woke up with a sharp gasp, her heart pounding as she tried to steady her breath. Disoriented, she looked around and saw Raven speaking calmly with an unfamiliar man nearby."Raven..." Raven turned his head towards her and immediately rushed to her side."Darling, are you alright? Is there any pain in your body?" he asked, worry evident in his face. Brienne shook her head."Let me check on her," the man said."Sam," Raven said."It's alright," Sam replied. "I'll just check on her and ask things. Wait outside," he added. Raven drove to the hospital, and when they arrived, he parked the car in the VIP space in the hospital. They got out and headed inside inside.
