Chapter 62: Eyes On Me Amelia I really like him, and the other two, not because they introduced me to an entire new world of pleasure. But because they held me together and made me feel safe with their actions."What else?" His voice rasped as he spoke, staring up at me. This time, it was easier to respond as my chest felt lighter."My stomach," my voice broke as I admitted but my thoughts soon became consumed as his hands moved up my body, landing on my waist before his mouth began to lick.My breath hitched as he kissed the spot on my left side of my body, holding my eyes with every healing touch. That was how everything continued, his mouth dissolving away everything about myself I despised, starting from the bottom and working his way up until he was standing again at his full height."Kingston…." I whimpered but he took away the words too, his lips connecting to mine and breaking off the last insecurity to eat away at me and my fear of never finding love."I wish you could see

Chapter 64: I Have Been Looking For You Amelia The sun glows, hitting the aged yellow pages on my mythology book that seems to be handwritten. Vurthron's look and sound human to others, they may even smell like humans. The only way to distinguish one, is to anger it. When a Vurthron gets extremely angered, you will see their pores enlarge and seep the toxin they hold within them. Doing this could result in death to mammals around the area, be cautious. More questions than answers swirl around in my head.Have I ever been that angry? I was angry when I found my parents, I was angry when I lived in the group home, I was angry when I was bullied. But it is possible that I was more sad because of all of that."Amelia?" I hear Kate call out before opening my room door.Knowing she doesn't typically knock, I just wait for her to open it."I am bored." She states, plopping down on my bed next to me.I cringe as I bend the page of the mythology book. I don't have a bookmark, but I definitel

Chapter 66: Who Is She?Zach Kate is a fucking vampire. How could I not have seen the signs? She must be thousands of years old to hide it from me. I shake the thought of her out of my head as I walk into my condo. Small, but livable with a reasonable price for rent. I got it when I first moved here, I should have known better to discredit the local hunters in my hometown when they told me this place was a goldmine for the supernatural. The gun I had intended to unload on Amelia is thrown onto my laminate counter. I want to bash my head in knowing that I accidentally pulled the trigger on my ex-girlfriend. Why should I feel bad? I ask myself. She is a vampire after all. Images of her smile looms in the back of my mind, making me regret my earlier thoughts. I was falling for her, I really was. Absentmindedly opening the fridge, I search for something to eat. Stress eating is a bad habit that many people struggle with. Eventually, I pulled out ingredients for a sandwich. When in doubt,

Chapter 68: You Are Strong Amelia Logan and I take a seat at the breakfast nook table."I guess we should start with the marking process." He states, stealing a blueberry off my plate. The urge to stab his hand with my fork makes me think about my sanity. It is just a blueberry."First things first, it is a once in a lifetime ceremony. Marking someone is the equivalent of marriage for humans but instead of 'death due us part', it is 'if you die, my heart dies along with yours'." He explains. If I am honest, I like the sound of that.I feel like I would die if I lost any of them anyways."It will show my claim to you, and only my claim. Kingston and Damien will not be allowed to mark you." My ribs crack off into my heart. "Why not?" He offers a sad smile."Because I am a king, princess. It is taboo enough to find a poly relationship within the vampire community let alone the king or future king to be involved with one."I nod, understanding the position it would put him in. His pare

Chapter 70: I Am Going To Miss You Amelia The room goes so silent that you could hear joints creaking against each other. I assume that means everyone finally noticed me. I laid my hand against her once warm, glowing face against her now cold, dull skin."I love you." I whisper to her as I get under the covers and lay with her."Amelia." Rose begins."Shh." I hear one of the guys hush her."Let her have her own moment." I now recognize the voice as Logan's."I guess the second time you die on me is the last time, huh?" I laugh through the tears escaping my eyes. "I am really...really going to miss you." I tell her as I squeeze my eyes shut, wishing it were me in her place. After all, the poisoned bullet was meant for me. I don't worry about all the eyes witnessing me lose my best friend, I don't worry about Rose's life, nor do I worry about how awkward I am probably making everyone feel. All I care about is being here at this moment. Memories of her saving me from living on the str
