The eastern garden of the Moonlight Pack was always calmer than the rest of the mountain. Not empty. Never empty. The network made sure of that. Even when no one was there, even when no one was talking, there was a constant sensation of a presence, of hundreds of lives being lived and woven together, of laughter and tears and arguments and healing. But the eastern garden was an exception. It was a place where people came when they did not need answers. Only space.
