Semua Bab Twin Aces: Claimed by the Alpha Captain (MM Romance): Bab 61 - Bab 70

Orion POV The sound that went through the arena was not a normal hockey hit. It was a loud, heavy metal thud that shook the ice under my skates. It was a horrible sound that made my skin crawl. My heart completely stopped beating.I turned my head just in time to see Lucian fly helplessly off the hard metal goalpost. The bad hit caught him right in the open gap of his lower back pads where there was no protection. His body bent at a scary angle before he fell face-first onto the cold floor. He did not move at all. He did not even try to catch himself with his hands. He lay completely still by the net, his hockey stick sliding away across the ice.The whistle had blown three seconds ago. The play was completely over. It was a dirty, purposeful move meant to ruin his career and take him out of the game forever.A wild, angry roar ripped right out of my throat. It did not even sound human. My instincts completely took over my brain. I forgot about the rules of the league, the score of t

Lucian POV The heavy steel doors of the locker room slammed shut behind us.The loud roar of seventy thousand fans was suddenly gone. Now, all I could hear was the heavy, fast breathing of twenty tired players. The room was full of noise. Plastic pads banged against wooden stalls, wet skates clicked on the floor mats, and my teammates yelled in excitement over the big win."What a play! We totally beat them!" Miller yelled. He ripped off his gloves and threw them into his locker. "Did you see Vane's face when the puck went in?"I tried to smile. I tried to nod my head to match his happy mood. But my lips felt numb, and my jaw was completely frozen. My tongue felt dry, and I couldn't even form a single word to answer him.The moment my skates entered the room, the last bit of energy left my body. The good feeling from the stadium lights disappeared. I was left alone with the real pain in my body.A sudden wave of intense heat ran through my blood. Right after, a freezing shiver made m

Lucian POV The smell of cold hockey ice and fresh cedar wood was completely gone.Instead, the first thing I noticed was the sharp, sour smell of rubbing alcohol and clean plastic. My eyes opened slowly, but the bright lights above my head made me flinch. A sharp, pounding pain exploded behind my eyes. Everything looked like long, blurry white streaks before the room finally came into focus.I was lying in a hospital bed inside a private medical room.I tried to move, but a sudden flash of pure agony shot straight up my back. A loud gasp of pain left my throat. My lower back felt like it was trapped under a heavy, hot iron. I looked down at my arm and saw a clear tube taped to the back of my hand. Medicine was slowly dripping from a plastic bag on a tall metal stand, going straight into my blood. My body was burning hot with a dangerous fever, but my fingers felt like ice."Don't move, Lucian," a deep, rough voice said from the dark side of the bed.I turned my head slowly, my neck

Lucian POV The absolute authority of Orion’s commanding tone slowly faded from the freezing medical room, leaving behind a heavy, suffocating silence. My wrists were still pinned flat against the sheets by his large hands. He hovered right over me, a solid wall of muscle blocking out the rest of the room. The thick, intense scent of his crushed cedar wood pheromones wrapped around my senses, forcing my primitive Omega biology to remain completely still, but it couldn't stop the sudden, violent storm breaking inside my chest. The frantic anger drained out of my limbs, replaced by a sudden, hollow weight of absolute despair.A hot tear spilled over my lower eyelid, sliding slowly down my pale cheek and wet temple. Then another one followed. Before I could stop myself, a ragged, broken sob ripped straight out of my throat, my entire body shaking violently against the mattress as I completely broke down in tears."Lucian..." Orion whispered, his deep voice instantly losing its harsh, com

Lucian POV The world dissolved into a haze of white fire. The moment the security doors clicked shut at the end of the hallway, the final chemical wall inside my body did not just break. It exploded. For six long years, I had forced my biology into a dark, silent cage using toxic blockers. I had hidden my true nature from the league, from the cameras, and from the harsh world of hockey. But now, my natural clock was making up for every single second of lost time. The true, unblockable heat hit my system like a physical tidal wave, crashing through my veins and turning my blood into bubbling liquid heat. The transition was so sudden and violent that a loud, helpless gasp tore straight out of my raw throat. I fell back against the soft pillows of the large bed, my frame trembling uncontrollably from the sheer power of the biological force taking over my soul.My vision blurred instantly, the master bedroom spinning into long, dizzying streaks of gold and shadow. The severe, dark purple
