Liora could see clearly that Penelope was still very much shocked but it wasn’t the time or place to explain things to her; she would explain things to her much later. The restaurant had begun to empty by the time they finished dinner.The city outside had transformed into a sea of lights, every skyscraper glittering beneath the deep blue night sky. Liora was deep into work when she heard loud voices coming from Penelope’s office. She and Damien had talked about it and he was still making his findings about what to do with the Morgan group until then, she had to act like she was a Director. She had so much work and so many meetings to attend and supervise and she was doing so. There had been three meetings since then because she had sabotaged two other projects while supervising them. Everyone thought it was a coincidence and that others were targeting her because they wanted her to fail. Liora had acted innocent and meek and laughed inwardly. Her workload had increased and she had to make some progress to keep her family’s suspicions away from her for the time being. Liora knew Leonard was self absorbed. He was a hypocrite. He was a thief and liar and a bastard but one thing she really hadn’t come to terms with was his unending audacity. He was audacious even when wrong. Inside, another set of attendants were waiting and they politely bowed."Young Master”"Young Madam."Hearing the same address made Liora's ears red.
