Elara'S POV Arriving back at the stairs, I gazed across at a narrow landing and the bank of windows that had a view out front. Lysander cleared his throat, drawing my attention, and he motioned toward a pair of doors behind me. He strode forward and flung them open to reveal a large balcony and a double staircase leading down.I stepped through, then hesitated, taking in all the richly polished mahogany, classical-style statuary, and dark upholstery as I made my way to the railing. Lysander waited while I took my time. I edged closer to where he stood with my breath caught in my throat.I’d figured the balcony led to a ballroom below, but I was wrong. Instead, I looked down over a two story, circular library. A grand fireplace took up the far side. Every section of the wall housed shelves and shelves of books. A ladder system made them reachable from both floors. Below were couches, armchairs, and several desks. The space was amazing. Jaw-dropping.Ignoring Lysander, I descended the
