THE LUNA WHO CONQUERED DEATH のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

The next two weeks were a blur of controlled chaos. The Warriors trained eighteen hours a day. Katherine and Elena drilled the students relentlessly in combat applications of their daughter's gifts. Marcus oversaw the construction of defensive barriers, trenches, and strategic chokepoints throughout our territory. And I balanced being Alpha with being a mother to a rapidly developing infant who now spoke in complete sentences and occasionally moved objects with her mind when excited."Luna, we talked about this," I said for the tenth time that morning as another toy floated past my head. "Telekinesis only during practice sessions.""But Mama, it's faster." My seven-week-old daughter, who now had the cognitive abilities of a fifteen-month-old, pouted at me. "Walking is slow.""Walking is how most beings get around. You need to learn patience." I caught the floating toy and handed it to her properly. "Besides, using your gifts constantly will exhaust you. Power management is important."

"And if they bring too many enhanced soldiers? If we can't overcome their advantages?""Then we fall back to contingency plans." I'd already considered this possibility. "There's a network of tunnels beneath the Pack House. Old, but functional. They live miles away. If we're losing, we evacuate through the tunnels and regroup elsewhere.""That's retreat.""That's survival. I won't throw away lives in an unwinnable battle." I met his eyes. "But I don't think it'll come to that. We have something Blackthorne doesn't.""What's that?""Motivation. His warriors are fighting to maintain tradition. Ours are fighting for freedom, family, and the future Luna represents. That makes all the difference."We continued our inspection as the sun set. By the time we returned to the Pack House, I was exhausted but confident in our preparations.I found Luna in the nursery with Katherine. My daughter was practicing shielding techniques, creating small barriers of silver light around her toys."Very good

I woke in the medical wing six hours later.Adrian sat beside my bed, looking exhausted. The mate bond told me he was physically fine but emotionally strained."Luna?" I asked immediately."Safe. In the bunker with Katherine. She's sleeping now. The power expenditure exhausted her." He took my hand. "Sera, she broke the enhanced soldiers. All of them. Not just the ones near the bunker, but every enhanced soldier on the battlefield. Simultaneously."I tried to sit up, but my body protested. "How many?""Fifty-three. She severed their stolen abilities from up to half a mile away. Some of them are comatose from the shock. Others are screaming about feeling like their souls were torn apart." His voice was heavy. "Our daughter incapacitated fifty-three enemies without leaving the bunker.""Did we win?""Yes. Once the enhanced soldiers fell, Blackthorne's coalition lost its main advantage. We captured sixty-two warriors, killed thirty-eight, and the rest fled." He pulled up casualty reports

The courtroom was designed to intimidate.High ceilings with ancient supernatural symbols etched into stone. Seven judges sat on an elevated platform, looking down at those who stood before them. Rows of seats for observers, currently filled with representatives from packs across the world. And at the center, a small witness chair that looked absurdly large when Luna sat in it.My ten-week-old daughter was sitting there now, feet dangling, stuffed wolf in her lap, looking tiny and vulnerable beneath the judges' scrutiny."This hearing will come to order," announced Judge Blackwood, the head vampire judge. "We are here to assess the case of Luna Nightshade, born of a seventh-generation Selene's Daughter and hybrid bloodlines, to determine if her unprecedented power levels constitute a threat to supernatural stability.""She's a baby, not a case," I muttered to Adrian beside me."State your name for the record," Judge Blackwood continued, addressing Luna."Luna Nightshade." Her voice wa

Three months passed in relative peace.Luna thrived with her new classmates. At fifteen weeks old, she had the development of a three-and-a-half-year-old and was learning at an astonishing rate. The school had expanded to eight students now, with more families requesting enrollment every week.Judge Cross's monthly assessments remained positive. Luna's control was impeccable. No incidents, no accidents, no power surges beyond controlled training exercises.Everything seemed to be progressing well. Then the threats started. The first one arrived via encrypted email to my official Alpha account."Your daughter is an abomination. The Court may allow her to exist, but true believers know she must be eliminated before she destroys us all. We are watching. We are waiting. And we will act."No signature. No identifying information. Just pure hatred in digital form."It's probably nothing," Marcus said when I showed him. "Every public figure gets threatening messages. Comes with the territory
