Zoe POVZack looked at me with pure hatred in his eyes.“I don’t like you. Nobody likes you,” he said coldly. “I’ve known you since we were kids, and you are not fit to stand beside me as my Luna.”The words hit me like a physical blow.My mate. Zack Taylor. Alpha of the Blue Mountain Pack. The boy I had secretly loved since childhood. And now he stood there, looking at me as if I were something disgusting.“Why?” I whispered.“Why?” He scoffed. “Because you’re worthless. You’re ugly. And most of all—you’re wolfless. I don’t need someone like you as my Luna.”My chest tightened painfully. Then he said the words that shattered my world.“I, Zack Taylor, Alpha of the Blue Mountain Pack, reject you, Zoe Berry, as my mate and future Luna.”My breath caught.“If you don’t accept my rejection, I don’t want to see you again,” he continued harshly. “And you will not tell anyone about this bond. I refuse to let my pack know the Moon Goddess gave me a wolfless, worthless mate. As your Alpha, I f

The next morning, everything was ready. Lucas and the others piled into the big SUV, while I took my own car — the one Alpha Jacob had given me on my eighteenth birthday.Alpha Jacob stood outside, watching us leave. “Everyone, be safe. If there are any problems, call me immediately. Update me on the training once you get there.”“Yes, Alpha!” everyone shouted, starting their vehicles and waving goodbye. He mindlinked me softly, “Be careful out there. Don’t hesitate to call me if you need me.”“Of course, Daddy,” I replied through the mindlink, laughing.“You’re a naughty kid, Zoe. I love you,” he said, chuckling.“I love you too, Jacob,” I replied. “Take care while I’m away.”As I drove out of Red Water territory toward Blue Mountain Pack, my mind wandered. How would James react when he saw me? And Zack… would he even recognise me? I wasn’t the scared, shy girl they remembered.I glanced at Celeste. “Do you… like Zeus?” I asked, almost hesitating.“How about you?” she asked. “Do you

“So that’s the story of how my life began to change,” I said, smiling faintly. “Alpha Jacob taught me how to be stronger and helped me realise my worth. He became the foundation of who I am today — both as a person and as a wolf.”Jessica’s eyes went wide. “Wait… you have a wolf?!” She leapt at me and hugged me tightly.“Yes,” I whispered, laughing. “But don’t tell anyone. She’s a white wolf, and we’ve been learning powers with Alpha Jacob’s guidance.”Jessica pulled back slightly, still holding me. “I can’t believe you’re really here,” she said, her voice soft with emotion.I laughed softly. Moon Goddess, I’ve missed her so much. Jessica had always been my light in the darkness of that pack.By the way… ah, James and I are mates,” I said casually.Jessica froze. “WHAT?! Did you just say that?”“Yes,” I repeated. “We’re mates.”Her eyes widened. “Oh, my goodness! I’m so happy for you! That must be why he’s changed so much… it’s because of you!”“Yes, of course! I had to hold out for a

As both her brother and I just watched in shock, Zoe was holding Laura by her hand "Sht, this is not good' i said to James 'Laura was the girl i was flirting with on the day she found we were mates'Laura shouted in pain when Zoe snapped her arm. 'We need to stop her, James saidI rush towards them, before Zoe breaks another bone or worse. I quickly grab Laura by the waist and block Zoe's attack. Zoe looks at me, her eyes are a darker shade of blue, and her wolf, Celeste, is out of control.Who is this girl? Where is she getting this power from? Why does she feel more powerful than an Alpha?'Kneel, Zoe says in a commanding voiceI recognised that commanding voice, it's Celeste, her wolf. In just one word i can feel the power. All the wolves near us kneel."Looks like you're saving your whr*, Zeus", she says loudly, and then she shimmers away, leaving everyone shocked. I let go of Laura and try running behind her. But I am stopped by James."Let her cool down, think you have done enou

As I walked towards the door, I was fuming 'How could he'. Then I felt Celeste's joy 'Why are you so happy? Don't you think what they did to us was wrong? Aren't you worried about my feelings?' I said to her"Zoe, I am a wolf, and a part of me has been longing for my mate. The bond with me and Zeus is stronger than yours. You are human, you can control your body, emotions and feelings, but wolves, we can't. The only thing we as wolves can feel is the connection to our mate. I am happy right now that we are at least half-mated, but I don't think I am considering your feelings, I am, it's just I need you to consider both of us as well' she explained.'I have no idea what I am feeling right now, all I know is I am angry and hurt that he would do it like that, I said'I love my life in Red Water. I have some amazing friends and a wonderful Alpha. Oh shit, I just realised, since Zack marked me Alpha Jacob is surely going to feel the bond has been broken, he must be worried''But this is ou
