Elena groaned as her eyes opened. A dull relentless pounding echoed in her head and even the faint morning light streaming through the window felt painfully bright. She slowly sat up, running a hand through her hair. She sat in silence for a moment, her brain trying to process her surroundings, then yawned loudly. She was in her room.
