Lahat ng Kabanata ng Fated to my One Night Stand: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

~Amber’s POV~‘Mate.’Roxanne’s voice filled with that same purr slammed into me with such deafening impact that it completely overwhelmed the understanding of what was happening to me, the knowledge she’d just sent flooding into my head seconds ago.I blinked, trying to push myself up to see the person responsible for the command that had torn through the night.Responsible for the heat rippling through me with a blinding intensity. All I caught was a blur—the biggest wolf I had ever seen with fur to match the darkness—tearing through the rogues in what felt like seconds. Claws. Teeth. Blood. The cracking of bones followed the last growl of pain and then I felt him next to me.His scent hit first.Pine. Rain. Something wilder. It coated my entire senses, drowning out everything else until I couldn’t smell the blood or the forest or anything except him.“Mate.” I whispered the word, trying to see his face, trying to make out the man the Moon Goddess had predestined for me, but my nose

~Axel’s POV~“I do not care!” My growl exploded, rustling the leaves on the trees. “Find her or everyone will be wondering where you disappeared to.”The head of my security swallowed hard, taking a step backwards. The lividity was so blinding I couldn’t even recall his name.He bowed his head slightly. “Alpha Edgewood—”I cut him off with a subtler but more gravelly growl. “I wouldn’t be scurrying the land looking for her if you had done your job in the first place so I do not care for anything you have to say unless it correlates with the words ‘your mate has been found.’ My aura pulsed around us with so much force that for a second, I thought I might lose control, but I pulled it back with effort. “You are dismissed.”He bowed and disappeared. Immediately a voice followed like the person had been waiting. And it was one I would always recognize. My Beta’s.“For the first time I am glad to have been relieved of my duties as head of security. Jameson looked like he was going to p

~Amber’s POV~The words filled the space between us with so much force that they were all I could hear despite the chatter going on around us.But my brain kicked into action fast enough. I met his gaze, standing taller. “Why do YOU smell like ME?”A frown formed on his face and even that made him look devastating, much to my irritation. “What?”I put more distance between us, shrugged. “I thought we were playing a game. A stupid game of asking irrelevant questions.” I paused, letting a sweet smile cross my face. “Next we can try a round of ‘why do you look so ugly.’”The effect was instantaneous. The frown gave way to anger so raw I thought he was going to explode, but just as fast, it disappeared.A blank look replaced it. “I take it you are not interested in the marriage.”I let the moment pass before matching his tone as it wasn’t poised as a question. “And what gives you that impression.”He didn’t give a reply. I watched his eyes slide from my face down my body, assessing me wit

~Axel’s POV~Petit Mal.I was seven when I was “diagnosed” with it. Or more accurately, seven when another thing was added to the list of things that made me imperfect in my father’s eyes. And it always chose to happen at the exact wrong time.Like right now.Because if it hadn’t struck—if it hadn’t pushed me into that state where I had no control over where my mind went or what was happening around me, I could have made Cassandra leave before she had a chance to do exactly what she had just done. What I knew this was.Payback.Because I knew her better than anyone else. This was revenge for the recent times I had refused to touch her again. Her tears followed her words in the next seconds, her voice still loud enough for every single person staring at us to hear.“I do not deserve to be treated this way, Axel. I do not.”With that, she turned and ran out of the hall like the performance had reached its climax and she was taking her bow.Irritation mixed with anger slammed into me, bu

~Amber’s POV~Death has never really been something I thought about.Unconsciously, it was always something that existed in the background accompanied by a picture of me with graying hair and a smile on my face, happy to be taking my last breath.Unfortunately, from the looks of it or rather, the lack of looks, because I could barely see where I was being shoved, death might just be happening a little sooner than planned.I sucked in a deep breath, thankful that the woman had at least released me from the spell that had nearly destroyed my brain. But being blindfolded and shoved toward an unknown destination wasn’t much better.“My father had a good reason for banning the use of dark magic,” I said, deciding enough time had passed since she had forced me out of the study to speak. “It corrupts. And you are clearly under its influence. I’m so sorry about your son, but please it’s not too late. You can still stop this. My father is a good man. He will understand your grief and—”The
