Semua Bab My Ex's Brother Is the Hockey Alpha : Bab 91 - Bab 100

Catherine's POV I told him one hour.Just one hour to do whatever he needed to do. One hour isn’t long. It’s barely enough time for anything serious to happen, which is why I said it in the first place. But when I look at the time now, the numbers don’t make sense anymore. It’s almost eleven.I sit on the edge of the bed, staring at my phone as if that alone will make it light up, or like waiting hard enough will pull him back through the door.Did he forget? The thought slips in without permission, and I push it away immediately, but it doesn’t go far. It stays close, hovering at the edge, waiting for me to give it space.I unlock my phone and scroll through my contacts, my thumb slowing down when I get to his name. It sits there, unchanged, just letters on a screen, but it feels heavier than everything else on the list.I press it.The call screen opens, the number already dialing, and I hold it there for a second before ending it.No.I shouldn’t be the one calling him.He said he

Natasha's POV Before I can even enjoy it, Catherine’s hand is already on mine, yanking it away from her hair with more force than I expect.“What’s wrong with you?”She looks at me with that mix of confusion and irritation that almost feels insulting…like I’m the one who just did something strange, not her.I let out a quiet laugh.Oh, she’s good. She’s really good.Still acting.Still pretending nothing’s wrong, nothing happened, nothing exists beyond whatever story she’s decided to stick to.I swing at her, my hand moving before the thought even fully forms, but she dodges it cleanly, stepping aside at the last second…and suddenly, there’s nothing holding me up anymore. The ground rushes up.Face first.Sand gets into my mouth, rough and dry, and I push myself up immediately, spitting it out with a grimace.I sit there for a second, brushing my tongue against my teeth, making sure nothing’s stuck there, and then it hits me.The situation. The fall. The way she’s standing there, loo

Danny's POV I swear I try to think about something else as I walk…anything at all. School, classes, the fact that I haven’t eaten, even the weather would’ve been fine. But no, my brain decides to replay that scene on a loop like it’s my favorite movie. Her hand on his collar. The way she pulled him close. That kiss.I stop mid-step, my chest rising like I’ve just run a race, even though I’ve barely walked ten meters. I drag a hand down my face slowly.I really wish I could unsee things. There should be a reset button for moments you don’t like. But no. Here I am, forced to carry that image around like it’s something valuable. And the annoying part isn’t even the kiss. It’s the fact that she looked so calm doing it. Like it meant nothing. Like my existence didn’t matter in that moment at all. Which is funny, because I remember telling her clearly…several times…to stay away from Clinton. And yet, here we are.I let out a short laugh that sounds nothing close to amusement and keep walki

Catherine's POV I turn on the bed for what feels like the hundredth time, dragging the pillow closer. The room is too quiet.Or maybe it is just me thinking too much again.I pick up my phone and stare at the screen, not because I expect anything new to appear, but because it gives my hands something to do, something to hold onto while my thoughts run in circles.Tomorrow is the school trip. That stupid trip Clinton would not stop talking about before, always bringing it up at the most random times, acting as if it was the biggest event of the year. And now that it's finally here, he suddenly goes quiet about it.I let out a small laugh, the kind that comes out when something annoys you but you don’t want to admit it fully.Men.Honestly.I was doing just fine on my own before he showed up with that ridiculous fake dating idea, and now he is acting as if he can just step back whenever he feels it's convenient for him.Not on my watch.I sit up straight, my grip tightening around my p

Catherine's POV I push him away and walk back into the room, trying to act normal, trying to pretend my heart isn’t pounding so hard it feels loud enough to echo off the walls.Behind me, I hear the faint drag of bags against the floor, steady and unbothered, like nothing just happened, like he didn’t stand there a second ago looking way too calm for someone who clearly planned this whole thing.I turn. He’s already halfway in, pulling our bags inside with one hand, stretching his neck with the other, all loose shoulders and careless energy, like this is just another normal day for him and not the beginning of my personal suffering.“Wait, are you serious?” I fold my arms, staring at him. “You really expect me to stay in the same room with you?”He doesn’t even look offended. If anything, he looks entertained.“You’ve got a better idea?”That tone. That annoying, smooth, I-know-you-don’t-have-an-answer tone.I scoff and turn away from him because if I keep looking at his face, I migh
