Damian’s POV As soon as I laid my head down to sleep, I couldn't stop thinking about Nickolai and what he was currently doing. Bruce called me almost immediately, and I sent him a text message. "You got me worried," he spoke over the phone, chewing what I suddenly realised was his snack as the sound of the crunch filled my ears. I pulled the phone away from my ear. "You haven't changed," I joked as I fumbled with the bed covers. "How is it over there?" he asked. I shrugged, not knowing what to say. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to talk. I just wanted to stay observant and vigilant in case Nickolai found me sooner than I expected. "I hope you're doing well," Bruce asked, but I was too tired to answer most of his questions.
