Chapter 7 "Here," Leo passed me a cup of tea and I shared him a weak smile, feigning drowsiness in disguise of heavy-lidded eyes. "So, you said Kai took a stroll, yes?" he asked, and I nodded. "Sure, sure. He did." I buried my nose into the tea. Leo was making soup for the house with some homemade bread. I had offered to help earlier, but he just wouldn't allow me. I wanted to wallow before him, grabbing the hem of his clothes as I begged for his forgiveness, but I knew he'd probably crack my neck at the end when he realized why.
