Chapter 10

The past couple of hours had been hectic. Kai would not stop glaring at me, turning this into a staring competition, except I did not play back. No matter how much his gaze burned into my back, I was fidgeting in my pants too much to look into those dark, icy eyes of his.

Their green hue, as mesmerizing as they were, felt like the sharp edge of thick grass that could cut my fingers if I played with them too much.

I did not even get close to him.

I had been maintaining a distance with Leo by my side. We were currently seated in the living room, the sandstone center table drawn close so he could write down the things we had to buy at the Plaza.

Clicks of heavy footsteps found the room, followed by muffled thumping as Kai appeared in front of us.

Leo's face brightened. He looked proud of the man he had bagged.

And the more I thought about it, the more I hated myself for what I had done to Leo. However, it was merely motivation to push me further in my aim to end this harem between Kai and me right away.

We could not continue this, and though he did not see it now, I was certain he would appreciate it later as he spent more time with Leo all over again.

That was the truth. Leo owned Kai. Not me. Not anyone else. That was the end, and that was what I had to remember.

Leo and Kai were sharing incoherent words, wrapped under fits of chuckles, and then Leo playfully smacked his shoulder.

"No, you don't want them eating you alive when they see this." He stifled yet another laugh. "Take it off. I'll go get the appropriate wear."

Throughout the time, I had placed my wavering attention on the table, but in truth, it was anywhere other than there. Stealing a glance, I saw Kai passing his wristwatch to Leo, who then proceeded into the room.

Just as Leo's footsteps receded, my hormones heightened, and not out of the blue, there was rather a looming frame before me.

Please, don't be Kai. Please, don't be Kai, a tiny voice begged in my head.

"You won't look at me. You won't speak to me. For how long do you plan to keep this up?" That thick, guttural voice of his trembled my very core. The floor suddenly felt too soft, imbalanced, and I might trip even while sitting.

"Damn it, Alex. Look at me." Kai pressed further, and I sensed urgency there before his thumb slid under my jaw to raise my head.

The moment I looked into his green hues, all my walls crumbled. My stomach dropped, lost in his perfect features. He was built like a god, or maybe he even was one. Immaculate, his handsomeness became even more accentuated by the blue shirt tucked into the black woolen pants he was wearing.

He looked so sharp in that outfit he could cut through anything.

Cut through my defenses.

"Kai, please. Don't make this any harder for us." The words slipped out in a pleading tone.

"Your heart's racing, and your lips are reddened. Your cheeks burn with desire, and your lashes are fluttering. You're stirring from within. You want to touch me, Alex. Feel my hardness against you. Don't fight it."

"You're not helping, Kai," I retorted, my resolve melting away like iced butter on a hot pan.

"You're not making it easy either. You can't resist me. You know how long I've been wanting you, then you gave me the green light, and now you want to turn your back on me?" He got closer, now whispering the end of the sentence. "Nah, I'd rather fuck you until you probably find a mate."

He leaned back when the door jammed, hinting at Leo's return. "In truth, I don't even wish you do."

Just before Leo appeared around the corner, I found myself lost in Kai's gaze, smothered by the way he carried himself, the Alpha scent he unknowingly released, the authority dripping off him, and his assertion that hit the nail on the head.

"I wanna fuck you later today, Alex," was what he said before he turned just in time to meet Leo's approach.

For the longest time, I sat there still, as though I had seen a ghost. His words ate at me. The truth had been revealed. There was no escape whatsoever. No matter how much I tried to run from him or avoid looking at him, he was not letting me go.

Once, it was I who wanted him. And now, it was him who craved me.

I should have left or closed the door that night they were in the room. My biggest mistake. I should have respected Leo's privacy and done the rightful thing, but I waited... waited until I was noticed by Kai.

About an hour or so later, Leo finally finished with the quotation. We also wrapped a few gifts he had not packed and eventually loaded them all into the boot of a black SUV. It was a hectic job, but necessary.

By the time we were done, I was left questioning what else we even needed to buy at the gift shop when there already seemed to be more than enough in the boot.

I had never been inside the pack house, and that was why I did not question it.

Leo lowered the music playing on the radio, his knuckles white against the steering wheel.

"You know, I asked you to come with me because I've got a question," he said and glanced my way.

My brows perked up, eyes blinking at him. "Oh, what's that?"

"It's about Kai. Alex, do you think he has eyes for someone else?"

Though there was not an ounce of suspicion in his tone, my heart picked up speed, launching into a marathon that pressured my blood.

Shit...

Chapter 12 My entire skin burned alive, and the solution to calming the storm stood behind me, watching me with those smirks curling up his lips. Those same glints took away my consciousness, leaving me with nothing but hunger. Hunger for him. For his touch. For his pleasurable manhandling. For his scent that I couldn't get out of my head. I didn't know when I turned my back to him, poking out my ass against his cock. Faintly catching the glint in his face, he stepped back. He watched me squirm from the lack of his touch. "I'm done here. Leo's waiting outside for us," he grumbled, seriously turning to leave the space. I seized his arm just before his warmth vanished. "You can't put me in heat and let go like that." Maybe in another lifetime or circumstance, I'd have been embarrassed. However, as it was, there was only one thing my brain could think of. And he knew it. And he was intentionally depriving me of it. Though he acted tough, I knew he wanted it too. We both couldn't r

  • Stealing My Best Friend's Alpha   chapter 11

Chapter 11 We arrived at the Plaza a few minutes ago. Having alighted, I stood to the left, waiting for Leo to finish his call. I shifted my footing from left to right, my hands rooted deep in my pockets. By a frail hair was I saved earlier. We arrived at the Plaza just as soon as Leo's question settled in. I sincerely did not have the mind for this, and I could not emphasize how much I regretted my actions with Kai. Once, the fantasy had blurred my sight, and the fear ingrained in the harem made it worth dying over, but now, I felt like Leo was catching on. My thoughts cut short when he stepped out, walking up to me. Leo's lips spread as he spoke in a high pitched tone. "Sorry, I had to take that call. Now, let's go do some shopping for the pack." Four hours later, my legs and arms hurt down to the spine. I wondered if Leo had been feeding me all that lemon juice, disguised in a nurturing pattern to take care of me, when behind the scenes, it was so he could use me now. Every n

  • Stealing My Best Friend's Alpha   chapter 9

Chapter 9 Rays of sunlight reeled in with the morning, their glimmer eventually landing on Kai. His hands wrapped around me tightly, his half hard cock pressing against my tummy and putting a smile on my face. His ruffled hair draped over his face, close to the bridge between my neck and shoulder. He occasionally sniffed me. His arms around me were so strong I knew there was no escape even if I tried to wiggle out of them. Instead, I focused on his face. I watched as the beams lit his warm beige skin, his lips pressed firmly, his features looking too good for the morning. "You should take a picture. Keep it warm between those sweet cakes of yours." Following a hard spank, making my hole vibrate, his thick, coarse voice filled my ears, sending a pulsating sensation to my core. I groan from earlier soreness before I hit his shoulder and he wrestled me into the bed, pinning himself on top of me. Maintaining his weight so I didn't get crushed beneath him, my pores opened with heat

  • Stealing My Best Friend's Alpha   chapter 8

Chapter 8 The scent of forbidden desire filled the room. It blurred into the night sky where Kai pinned me against the balcony. He hadn't let me breathe since he started kissing me. His hands gripped my face close, fucking my throat with his tongue. We exchanged such a deep kiss, my hole dripping with more slick. The feeling as it trickled down my legs made my knees buckle while Kai's nostrils flared. His eyes burned with hunger, the type that came from deprivation even though he'd been wrecking my hole for the past few days. Flipping my back to him, I impatiently waited as he unbuckled his belt. My small hands maintained my stance on the rails, heart thumping frantically beneath my crop top shirt. He tore my underwear from the middle, turning it into something like a jockstrap, letting my ass spring free only to be captured when he gripped the rim. His nose buried deep into my ass, my cheeks pressed together to lock his face in as he sniffed hard and teased me with his tongue.

  • Stealing My Best Friend's Alpha   chapter 7

Chapter 7 "Here," Leo passed me a cup of tea and I shared him a weak smile, feigning drowsiness in disguise of heavy-lidded eyes. "So, you said Kai took a stroll, yes?" he asked, and I nodded. "Sure, sure. He did." I buried my nose into the tea. Leo was making soup for the house with some homemade bread. I had offered to help earlier, but he just wouldn't allow me. I wanted to wallow before him, grabbing the hem of his clothes as I begged for his forgiveness, but I knew he'd probably crack my neck at the end when he realized why. Instead, my mouth was clipped, lips parting to take one sip after the other. "Did you guys hang out again today?" I perked up. "Uh, who?" "Kai, of course. Who else?" Leo's eyes brightened. The pot's lid stirred from compression, making Leo shift his attention from me. Only momentarily. Just enough time to think of something to say. The words skittered out of me. "Not really. He was out most of the day." I rolled my eyes to the left, my throat sudden
