Semua Bab The 7-time rejected omega: Bab 41 - Bab 50

ILYANA’S POV“Wha…what do…you want?” I stuttered, staggering backward, trying to put distance between us.His white hair flowed down his back, unnaturally smooth, his face even paler than the last time I had seen him. His fangs peeked out as he slowly licked his lips, his red eyes gleaming with something darker, something more intense than before. I didn’t know much about vampires, only the little Atasha had told me after the last time, but I could tell this much—He was hungry.Hungry for blood. And the only blood in this room was mine.He stepped closer, unhurried, certain, like he already owned the space between us. “You,” he said without missing a beat, his voice low and sure. “I want you.”He twirled a lock of his hair around his fingers, his tone smooth, almost indulgent, like he was savoring the thought before even touching it. “Ever since I tasted your blood the last time, I haven’t been able to feed on anything else. Nothing satisfies. Nothing compares.” His gaze dragged slow

KAEL’S POV.“When do you plan on letting yourself rest, Kael?” Carius asked for the umpteenth time in the last three days as he entered my office.“Whenever I want,” I growled in response, not even looking up from the papers in front of me.He sighed heavily, the kind of tired exhale that carried more frustration than patience. “You need to stop this, Kael. Work is not going anywhere, I assure you, and there’s plenty of time for you to actually breathe instead of—”“There’s no time!” I snapped, my voice cutting through the room sharper than intended.Silence followed immediately.I dropped my pen onto the table and leaned back into my chair, shutting my eyes as tension rolled heavily down my shoulders. It felt like everything inside me was tightening, coiling, refusing to ease no matter how still I tried to be.Carius’s voice softened when he spoke again. “Kael… you don’t have to carry everything alone. Let me help you. Let us help you.”“I would love that, Carius,” I replied after a

LUCIENNE’S POV.“Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!” I screamed the second I entered my room, shoving everything on my makeup table violently onto the floor.Glass shattered everywhere, perfumes spilling across the wood, but I didn’t care. Rage burned through every inch of me.Right in front of me, Kael had allowed her in.Allowed her to yell at him.Allowed her to stand there and speak to him like she mattered when she was nothing but an omega. Why?Why her? What exactly did she have that I did not?I had seen the contract in her room. I knew why he accepted the bond. He wanted a child from his mate, and I would have given him one in a heartbeat if he had only asked me.So why her?The door suddenly opened and a maid stepped inside carefully, her eyes widening at the mess scattered across the room.“GET OUT!” I screamed immediately. She flinched so hard the tray in her hands slipped, crashing loudly onto the floor. I didn’t care about the broken glass or the way she shrieked fearfully

ILYANA’S POV.“Have you been able to talk to the alpha king?” Misha asked the next morning as she entered my room, Tina trailing quietly behind her.My heart twisted painfully at the mention of Kael, and my hands froze over the wrinkle I had been smoothing from the bed sheets. I finished it anyway before turning toward her, forcing out a smile that never truly reached my eyes.I shook my head.“Really? What’s wrong?” she asked immediately, concerned covering her face as she hurried toward the bed much too quickly for a middle-aged woman. Sometimes I genuinely forgot her age with how energetic and lively she acted around us.“I thought you went to see him yesterday. Isn’t that why you locked yourself in afterward and didn’t come back out?” she continued before glancing toward Tina. “Serve the meals.”After talking to Kael yesterday, I rushed into my room and cried until my chest hurt. A part of me had expected him to come after me eventually. He didn’t come. Not after me. Not even late

KAEL’S POV.There was something unexplainable in my chest as I watched Ilyana sleep. She had never looked so fragile, so vulnerable in front of me, and I could not explain how this little act made me feel. Her face was swollen from crying, her breathing uneven even in sleep like her body still remembered the grief. Every now and then her fingers twitched against the blanket and each movement carved something vicious into my chest.I had failed her.The thought pounded harder inside my skull the longer I stared at her. I should have protected her. I should have been there. Instead, I had pushed her away for days while she begged to see me, while I buried myself in work and fear and every cursed thing haunting my head. If I had just called for her this morning. If I had stopped running from her. If I had stayed close to her instead of acting like some damned coward, maybe none of this would have happened.Maybe Misha would still be alive. The thought made something ugly twist violently
