NOT PASTA

AARON'S POVFor one terrible second, my brain completely stopped working.Kyle still had the tissue pack in his hand from where I threw it at him, but the teasing look on his face had disappeared completely. Right now, he looked like he wanted the ground to open and swallow him alive.Chloe stood by the door quietly, her eyes moving between both of us like she was trying to piece something together from expressions alone. And my heart? It nearly stopped on the spot.Chloe was still standing by the infirmary door, one hand resting lightly against the handle while her eyes stayed fixed on us.Or more specifically—On me.“A masked what?” she asked again. My brain blanked instantly. Kyle suddenly coughed into his drink like his body physically rejected the situation.I felt my stomach tighten hard.Shit.There was no way she heard the entire thing. There was no fucking way. If she heard everything, this conversation would already sound very different.Still, panic crawled up my spine.

RESTROOM ENCOUNTER

JACK'S POVI was walking to the cafeteria without paying much attention to my surroundings. Every step I took, I kept replaying that moment in the lab over and over again like my brain had decided to punish me for it.The glass, the blood, Aaron’s face when it happened, and the way I reacted too fast. I didn’t even pause to think before I moved.I exhaled sharply through my nose, jaw already tight before I even realised it. That was the part that annoyed me the most. It wasn't the situation itself, but the way I reacted.I shouldn’t have reacted like that.I knew it.But knowing it didn’t stop the irritation sitting heavily in my chest.I got into the cafeteria, and headed straight for the counter, hands shoved into my pockets, waiting for my food without really paying attention to anything around me.That was when it happened.Someone suddenly bumped carelessly into my side. The tray tilted as hot pasta slid forward in slow motion before it spilled straight down my shirt. For half a

FULL RECALL

JACK’S POVMy eyes stayed fixed on his reflection through the mirror while my brain immediately started pulling itself apart trying to understand why Aaron Pierce would ever come looking for me in the first place. Looking for me?Was it about the trending video on the school blog? The entire thing was already spreading around campus like wildfire, and I could already imagine the comments people were making.Did somebody show him the video already? Was he here to ask if I’d completely lost my mind? I almost scoffed, he wouldn't even dare to do that. Or was this about the lab?My mind drifted there again; broken glass, the blood on his hand, the way I stood up before I even thought about it and Aaron… noticed. I knew he did. There was no way he didn’t notice the panic that hit me the second I saw him bleeding.Or maybe it wasn’t about the lab at all.Maybe it was about what happened at the social director’s office. My jaw tightened instantly at the memory.Out of every possible thing

YOU KISSED ME

AARON'S POVJack’s grip stayed firm against my jaw while the memory kept echoing loudly inside my head, replaying itself over and over again until I couldn’t tell if my heartbeat was coming from panic or shock anymore. He kissed me first. It wasn't accidentally, and it wasn't because he was drunk either.Jack kissed me because he wanted to.The realization kept crashing into me harder every second I stayed this close to him.Jack’s stare stayed locked on mine, sharp enough to make it difficult to breathe properly. Up close like this, I could see the tension sitting all over his face clearly now.His jaw was shut tight as irritation flashed in his eyes.“You really don’t know when to stop talking, do you?” he spoke finally, his voice low and rough enough to make my stomach twist strangely.Normally, a warning from Jack Pierce should’ve made me nervous. But right now, all I could think about was his lips. The memory flashed again before I could stop it. His hands on my waist, his lips

THE ANONYMOUS BASTARD

JACK’S POV“Jack…focus!!!” Coach’s annoying voice rang out from across the field as someone roughly brushed past me.Shit.I stumbled backward, almost losing balance completely but Deaton quickly stepped in to help. “Careful. You seem off today, bro.”Ofcourse.Nothing felt good today. From my stupid reflex action at the lab to what happened at the cafeteria and finally, the restroom. My jaw tightened faintly. Aaron recalled everything. He recalled that night fully, the words he said before I lost control and captured his lips.I didn't even know how exactly I was supposed to feel. Part of me felt relieved knowing he finally remembered, but the other part couldn’t stop replaying the look on his face when he said it out loud.“You kissed me.”Just hearing those words from Aaron made it feel too real in a way I hadn’t been prepared for.And the fact that gripping Aaron’s jaw in the restroom was enough to drag those memories back into his head made mine feel even worse. One touch, and

RESERVATION ACCEPTED

JACK'S POVBefore I knew it, an evil smirk crept to my lips. If he thinks he can blackmail me and just get away with it, then he was the most delusional person I've ever come across. The idiot probably thought hiding behind anonymous texts made him untouchable. Too bad for him, I’d already started tracing the cracks in his little game, and the second I figured out who he was, I was going to make him regret ever trying to mess with me.Just then, the main door to the locker room burst open as my teammates stumbled in, laughing and talking about how good the game went.As soon as they spotted me, they stopped abruptly and began chanting my name instead. “Jack..”“Pierce..”“Jack..”“Pierce…”“Come on…that's enough,” I held back a chuckle and scoffed instead, waving them off. Thankfully, they listened and turned towards their lockers, resuming their chats about the game.Deaton and Chris walked in together almost immediately as Deaton strolled towards me, a towel hanging around his nec

TWO NAMES

AARON'S POV“Aaron?”Chloe’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts for what felt like the tenth time today.I blinked quickly and looked up at her. “Hm?”“You don't seem good. Does your hand hurt too much?” She asked softly, sounding worried. I glanced down at my bandaged palm resting on my laps, and shook my head. “No, I’m fine.” I muttered quietly.Though, there was this dull ache I felt anytime I tried to move it.The weather outside was cold, and the café smelled strongly of coffee and cinnamon. Soft music played faintly from somewhere overhead while people talked quietly around us.Chloe finished rubbing the hand cream carefully over the back of my other palm before letting go gently. “Your hands were literally dry,” she laughed lightly. “You should at least say thank you.”That finally pulled a small smile from me. “Thank you.”She smiled back and leaned into her seat again, taking another sip from her coffee. My mind instantly drifted back to the restroom.“You kissed me.”Just r

COLD COMMAND

AARON'S POVChloe’s words kept repeating in my head long after she left the table.“You always seem like you don’t even want to be here.”I stared at the space she had just been sitting in, my fingers still lightly resting on my phone even though the screen had already gone dark. People were still laughing softly around me, cups still clinking, chairs still scraping against the floor, but it sounded distant because my mind wasn’t here anymore. It was still stuck on her face.Chloe didn’t look angry the way I expected her to. She just looked tired, like she had been enduring something for a long time and finally couldn’t hold it in properly anymore. My heart sank.I wasn’t trying to hurt her.I kept telling myself that over and over again. Chloe was important to me in a way that didn’t need to be complicated. She was the kind of friend who stayed, who showed up, who tried even when I didn’t deserve it. I knew that, I wasn’t blind to it.But still… I couldn’t stop myself from thinking

BO KISSING

AARON'S POV My throat went dry instantly after hearing the way Jay spoke to me.The excitement that had been building inside me ever since I got the reservation acceptance suddenly twisted into confusion instead, because Jay had never sounded like that with me before. He was usually calm or saying something that made my face heat up embarrassingly, but right now, his voice sounded cold, rough and distant. My chest tightened. For a few seconds, I just sat there staring at him while the loud bass from outside vibrated faintly through the walls of the room.Did I do something wrong? My mind instantly started spiraling. What if this was about last night? Maybe he regretted helping me during the raid. Or maybe Chloe’s picture actually bothered him more than I thought it did.“Did you not hear what I said?” he asked calmly this time but there was still this sharpness in his tone like he was angry about something but trying hard not to show it.What could he be angry about? I swallowed ha

OFF LIMIT

JACK’S POVThe second Aaron’s face fell, I knew I fucked up. But I still stood there pretending like I didn’t care.“Kissing is against the club policy.”The words sounded like I was pushing him away on purpose.Aaron didn’t say anything after that. He just stared at me with this confused look in his eyes that made something twist painfully inside my chest.Fuck.My eyes trailed to his bandaged palm, and it pulled me back to what had happened earlier in the biology lab at school.I looked away first because if I kept staring at him, I was going to lose whatever self control I had left tonight. The room suddenly felt too quiet despite the loud music outside.I could hear Aaron moving behind me softly, probably reaching for his clothes, but I refused to turn around immediately. This was exactly why I didn’t want things getting complicated.I knew this would happen. The second I started treating him differently, it stopped feeling like work and started becoming something else entirely.I
