Lyra I tried to push him away. My hands came to rest against his broad chest, intending to shove him back. Instead, my fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt, bunching it tightly in my fists as I ended up pulling him closer instead. A helpless whimper caught in my throat, completely swallowed by his kiss. The kiss sparked a fire in my lower belly. I hated myself for it. I hated the traitorous way my body always seemed to align with his, the sensation numbed the terror that had consumed me just seconds ago. Then, he pulled away. It felt like he had to force himself to break the contact. But he remained close, his hot breath fanning across my swollen lips, his eyes filled with hunger. “Are you calm now?” he murmured lowly. I stared at him, my chest heaving as I tried to regain my composure. “How do you expect me to be calm, Raguel?” I scoffed. “How do you expect me to be calm when I’m locked up in this house with a serial killer?” A wicked smirk tugged at the corner of his lip

Lyra I spent two days pretending that I was adjusting while Raguel’s constant presence made me feel trapped and strangely safe at the same time. I knew I needed to leave before I became stupid enough to stay. Escaping at night was impossible because Raguel was always alert after dark, roaming the grounds or brooding in his study. So daytime was my only option and the opportunity came accidentally. I’d been sitting near the kitchen, reading and listening to the staff gossip when I overheard two maids talking about restocking supplies from the market outside the city. “We’d be getting a lot of things so I’d suggest we take the larger truck tomorrow,” one of them said and that got my attention instantly. The next morning, I quietly watched from my window as the staff loaded empty crates into the said truck. I was surprised at how easy it was to sneak into the back of the truck while the staff was distracted loading the empty crates. I squeezed myself between covered crates near the b

Raguel I had nearly lost my mind trying to trace her. By the third hour of searching for Lyra, I was close to tearing the entire city apart with my bare hands. “Alpha Raguel, I believe she crossed here,” one of my men said carefully behind me. I ignored him. My focus stayed locked on the fading scent surrounding the alley. It made no sense. I could track enemies with their scents. I could pick a familiar scent from thousands without effort. Yet every single time I got close to her, the trail disappeared from me, slipping through my fingers. At first, I thought someone was masking her scent. Then I realized she was doing it herself. Not intentionally though. Her abilities were responding to all of her desperate wishes to not be found. So every time I got close, I arrived minutes too late. My wolf was beyond furious, restless beneath my skin, claws threatening to surface every few minutes. Then suddenly, her scent had stabilized and for some reason, every instinct inside me felt

LyraI stood frozen, completely lost for words. The defiance that had been fueling me just a few minutes ago evaporated. Before I could find my voice to scramble for a retort, his grip on my waist tightened.“I think,” Raguel murmured, “it’s time I taught you some proper manners. I should punish you.” He leaned in closer. “Just so you finally learn how to behave.”“Don’t you dare…” I started, my voice instantly rising in fury as I tried to shove his chest. But he was already moving. Without breaking eye contact, Raguel rolled up his sleeves, exposing his forearms. Before the threat could fully register, he crowded me against the wall, using his massive frame to block off any escape. Effortlessly, he turned me around, pinning my front flat against the cool surface of the wall. My palms flattened against the wall as he stepped closer, his thighs bracketing mine. He bunched up the fabric of my nightgown, exposing my bare skin.“Raguel, what are you doing?” I gasped, but my voice betrayed

RaguelI slammed the door to her room shut and stood in the dim corridor, my back pressed hard against the wood, my chest heaving as if I’d just run a fucking marathon in winter. My pants felt tight, almost suffocating my erect dick. Inside, my wolf was a roaring beast, screaming at me to turn around, throw that door open, and bury myself so deep into Lyra that neither of us would remember our own names.Instead, I dragged myself down my room and threw myself into the bathroom, yanking my belt and pants off with a snarl. The evidence of her arousal was everywhere—sticky on my hand, the scent imprinted in my senses. I gripped my dick, my eyelids fluttering shut as I began to stroke in a fast rhythm. Images of Lyra began to form in my mind. Her eyes glistening with a fierce defiance as she screamed at me. Lyra, pinned against the wall, the soft skin of her ass flushing under the sting of my smacks. The breathy hitch in her throat when she realized she couldn’t fight it.And then, the un
