Lahat ng Kabanata ng Hiding Among Alphas : Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

~ Marina's POV ~ Jaxon left for his room so he could freshen up from the bloodstains all over him. I felt really bad for the wounds he sustained because of me, but despite that, a small wave of relief washed over me knowing that by the breaking of dawn, his wounds would heal. That was the advantage of having your wolf. Wounds tend to heal at the breaking of dawn. But unfortunately for me, I wasn’t privileged enough to have that blessing. Since I haven't made my shift yet, my wounds take time to heal—just like the ones I have on my knee and beneath my feet. While Jaxon went to his room, I went to the cafeteria because I was very hungry. He was kind enough to show me the cafeteria hall before leaving. At first, the pack wolf at the door of the entrance of the cafeteria didn't allow me to enter the cafeteria because I wasn't wearing my uniform, but after I explained how Conrad tempered with my uniform, he allowed me to enter the cafeteria. I was grateful to him, at least he wasn't

~ Marina's POV ~ I lay curled up on the bed, clutching the soft pillow tightly against my chest as Dylan’s words kept replaying in my head like a broken, merciless record. I had dismissed him and told him I needed to be alone. Conrad wasn't in the room. He must be serving his punishment for what he did to me... and honestly, I didn't care. He's the last person I want to see right now, especially after finding out what happened to Louisa. There's no way we could've done that to Louisa. I know I was just a baby then, but still... I believe we rogues are innocent. There had to be some terrible misunderstanding somewhere. The pack wolves always want to find a reason to hate us. They might've put the blame on us just so they can find a reason for the growing pups to hate us. "We've always been innocent, Marina. The Moon Goddess doesn't just like us—that's why she pushed us aside." My father's words echoed softly in my ears, giving me more hope that we're innocent of the crime laid a

~ Marina's POV ~ "Louis" she called my name rushing toward me again. Before I could even push myself up, she dropped down in front of me, grabbing my hand like she had every right to it. Her fingers curled around mine, warm… and suffocating. Her face lit up with a wide, almost dazzling smile. "I'm so glad to finally see what you look like, Louis," she grinned, her eyes sparkling like she'd just found something precious. I tried to take my hand from her, but she held it even tighter. "Allow me to hold you this way, Louis… we've been together, but I never got a chance to be this close to you." Her voice softened. "Your hands… they're really soft." "Thank... you," I stuttered, making an attempt to stand up so I could run, but she proceeded to hug me, pinning me back on the grassy ground. "Louis!" she called again, breathless with excitement. "I missed you so much. If you hadn't come to this academy, I would never have known what you looked like… never gotten to be in your arms li

~ Marina's POV ~ I barely grabbed anything useful from the endless nonsense the old werewolf kept rambling about. All he kept saying were the things I didn't want to hear. He kept going on about how rogues were their enemies and how they shouldn't spare one if they came across one. The way he said it, with so much certainty, made irritation crawl beneath my skin. Did these wolves ever talk about anything else? "The Moon Goddess built this academy for the Alpha bloodlines," the old werewolf said, pacing slowly before us. "Which is why the underground tunnel remains available. If rogues ever attacked, we would escape through there." My thoughts came to an abrupt halt. Underground tunnels? Does Dravenmoor have an underground tunnel? I snapped my head up. For the first time since this boring class began, I actually paid attention. Beside me, Dylan frowned in confusion. "We have an underground tunnel in Dravenmoor?" he asked. "Yes, we do," the old werewolf replied with a nod. "But n

~ Marina's POV ~ Dylan screamed louder in panic, the raw terror in his voice yanking my attention away from Jaxon, who sat down like none of this concerned him, not even bothering to lift a finger. "Conrad, you need to stop!" I yelled at him, anger now flaring in my eyes. He slowly turned to look at me, his grip still cruelly forcing Dylan’s head against the window. "Is the Supreme Alpha’s son trying to play the hero for his precious little friend?" he sneered darkly. "Why don’t you try shifting into your wolf form? Maybe then I’ll reconsider throwing him out this window." My fists clenched so tightly my nails bit painfully into my palms. He was asking for the impossible. He knew Louis didn’t even have a wolf to begin with, yet he was demanding the very thing he knew Louis couldn’t do. It would’ve been easier if I had my wolf too… but I didn’t. Conrad’s lips curled into a dark, mocking smile. "Why, Louis?" he taunted, his voice dripping with ridicule. "Can’t the Almi
