THALASSA'S POV:The fire started the way it always did. Slowly at first, just a flicker in the corner of my vision, a warmth that I could not quite place. Then the flames spread, hungry and fast, consuming everything in their path. The walls, the ceiling, the floor. The furniture I had grown up with, the books I had loved, the photographs of my parents that were the only proof they had ever existed.I was trapped. I could not move.
