Lahat ng Kabanata ng Reckoning after The Divide : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Jake's POV.“Jake!!” Matt called out, from the living room of his simple studio apartment.Jake groaned painfully from the other end of the room.Since the divorce process started Jake had spent his time drinking and sobering up on Matt's king-sized bed.“Leave me alone” Jake muttered, his words muffled by the pillow case.“Jake you really have to see this” Matt’s finger scrolled hurriedly through his phone screen.“No…..” Before Jake could finish, Matt was already standing by his bed in the monochrome room.“Watch this” Matt tossed his phone down to the pyjamas-clad bad-hair-day Jake.Jake sat up…. picked up the phone. His eyes lit up once a video started playing, the video of him in Ray's office.“This can't be happening” he whimpered, letting his hands fall to his mouth to stop him from shouting.“You really cheated on him?” Matt asked, his eyes narrowing with creased brows. Those words pierced through Jake.He shifted his gaze painfully to his cousin….” I would never do that, you

By the time Ray walked out of the police station, the sun had set, so he decided to head home.He got home and turned on his television.“News happening at the moment” A black female reported, speaking from the other end of the screen.“The state police have discovered an affiliation between our very own elite valley tech limited and a Mafia gangster, Ricky Fernando…”Ray didn't let the reporter finish before hitting the power off button. His suitcase slipped from his hand as he sank into the cushion.“Rick is driving at something…why is he so quick to throw me under the bus” he muttered.Massaging his creased forehead. Lazily.By the time it was morning, his eyes were all swollen. “At least no nightmares today” he spoke into the mirror. As he brushed his teeth.Aside from the eyes that trailed him and the stares from his employees. The morning started…quiet… almost too quiet.Like nothing happened yesterday. The smell of the coffee Frank prepared smelled richer this morning.Even th

Ray’s jaw tightened as he ground his teeth, “clean up this mess” he motioned to George, shifting towards the red glistening BMW packed on the far end of the compound. He strode through the pile of bodies, feeling his shirt tighten around the goose bumps that formed on his skin. His feet suddenly felt much heavier than he knew them to be, in that moment he became a 12-year-old boy again, staring into the four caskets that clung onto his family more than he ever had the opportunity to.His stomach twisted, leaving his tongue bitter. He blinked hard, lasering his gaze straight ahead to the car as he pushed forward. He hadn’t driven for about 5 minutes, when he brought the car to a halt and pushed open his door, groaning and pouring out the contents of his stomach. He had seen dead people before, at least he saw his family, but those 6 bodies at his house weren't what one was expecting to see first thing in the morning.“Hey!!! Are you alright?” a slender blond lady, dressed in a black sp

“Hell no…”Jake blurted, shutting the door right in their faces.“Bro, what the hell?” Enzo asked, barely able to contain his shock.Ray said nothing, his eyes lasered at the door like he could burn them off there and then, and his heart? They melted almost immediately. He let his fingers Braille across the door frame for the doorbell and rang it again.“I won't leave until you listen” Ray called out, now banging on the door.“I'm out of here” Enzo's voice laced with rage, echoed in the void, causing Jake the intern to …“And I'm taking the car” he yanked the car key away from Ray, and made for the car without waiting for a response.Ray continued to alternate between banging the door and ringing the doorbell after Enzo drove off.He knocked until the door handle clicked.“You have 5 minutes to leave” Jake's hand stayed on the door handle as he spoke.Ray searched Jake's eyes with the light that pushed its way from inside to the porch where he and the intern stood.“A partnership deal

Ray's POV“What are you doing here?” Jake asked, stepping out of the bathroom with drops of water falling free down his chest and his hair wet shattered across his forehead.Ray paused.Letting his eyes trail Jake's body from his brown oily dripping hair, down to his toes then back to his face.A spread of heat clawed under his skin, burning down to his cock area. The heel of his leather shoes clicked hard on the wooden board of the floor as he made his way slowly towards Jake.“What do you want me to do here?” He whispered against Jake's earlobe, his voice hoarse.Letting his tongue brush against the drop of water on the tip of Jake's earlobe.“Stop” Jake muttered almost as though he was trying to convince himself instead of Ray.Ray's lips slid down to Jake's neck, planting a light kiss on his neck, then grazed his teeth on his exposed shoulder before sucking on it, letting his tongue curl around the bite mark. His lips trailed the water drop rolling down Jake's neck. His nostrils b
