LOGINRay’s jaw tightened as he ground his teeth, “clean up this mess” he motioned to George, shifting towards the red glistening BMW packed on the far end of the compound.
He strode through the pile of bodies, feeling his shirt tighten around the goose bumps that formed on his skin. His feet suddenly felt much heavier than he knew them to be, in that moment he became a 12-year-old boy again, staring into the four caskets that clung onto his family more than he ever had the opportunity to. His stomach twisted, leaving his tongue bitter. He blinked hard, lasering his gaze straight ahead to the car as he pushed forward. He hadn’t driven for about 5 minutes, when he brought the car to a halt and pushed open his door, groaning and pouring out the contents of his stomach. He had seen dead people before, at least he saw his family, but those 6 bodies at his house weren't what one was expecting to see first thing in the morning. “Hey!!! Are you alright?” a slender blond lady, dressed in a black sports outfit called out from across the other side of the road. He ignored, tightening his face. The stench of the now somewhat fermented wine he just vomited mixed with the rush of air that brushed his back and the cologne of the now sprinting lady making her way to his side of the road made him even more nauseous. He let his gaze fall to the contents of his gut on the tarred road. “Are you good, is there any way I can help?” Her voice grew softer from what Ray could easily tell was pity. He felt his chest tighten. He lifted his face, cold as ice. She stiffened. “Sorry, I was just trying to help,” she stuttered through each word. Taking an instinctive back step to increase the distance between them. Ray stared still. He wanted to yell at her for daring to look at him with pity, but he just stared, afraid that the mask he had spent so much building might slip. She scrambled along, almost stumbling on a stone on the road. Ray shut his door, pressed his head against the headrest with his eyelids sealed tight and his nostrils wide to draw in the musky lavender scent of his air freshener. After what almost felt like forever, he reached for the car clutch, to continue his ride, but caught sight of a blinking tiny red light taped around the clutch. His gaze narrowed as he yanked the foreign object slowly from the car. A dry bitter smile played on his lips, he twisted his wrist to get a better view of the object, “They couldn’t even use an expensive tracker” Ray wasn’t exactly a slow driver and today wasn’t any different, he sped past traffic lights and stop signs, only stopping at the center of the recently reconstructed Valley Field Bridge. Ray’s pov He stood next to the metal rail of the bridge, face cold and eyes scanning the depths of the water beneath his feet before he swung the tracking device into the river. Watching with a laser gaze as the body of blue liquid swallowed it up. “Find me if you can” By the time the ray returned it was almost noon, the bodies were gone and everything was back to normal, at least on the surface level. He walked past George on the staircase and headed straight to the bathroom. “Sir there’s another problem,” George blurted out, his voice ringing with an intentional hint of caution. Ray, who was a step above George, stopped on his track, shifting to let his back fall on the sparkling white acrylic side wall. “Continue,” he motioned. George nodded, “Sir, I have been trying to get more protection but my source tells me that it's a risk nobody is willing to take on” George paused, searching Ray’s eyes. But Ray's face remained expressionless. George swallowed hard. “Sir, the best way to fight this is to get someone from the other side to work with us.” George's hand dipped into his pocket. “I will suggest you reach out to him sir,” George said, stretching a business card out to Ray. He collected the blue imprinted card and continued his journey to his room. He dropped the card on the well-arranged folds of his master bed duvet and made for the walk-in wardrobe. The fresh scent of lemon essence filled the room as Ray stepped out of the bathroom, tiny droplets of water dripped down from his chin to his well-carved abs muscles, the towel tied loosely around his waist, his eyes dark and smoky trailed the card on the bed. His hands reached for it. This time taking a closer look. The card read. Protectors. ENZO LEE’S syndicate He let the card slip back to the floor. “I’d rather stay locked up forever than run to Enzo for safety” he strode to his laptop. On the other end of the room. That was all he knew how to do, bury himself in work when everything started to feel overwhelming. He collapsed into the office chair next to the table, still only clad in a towel. His laptop lit up, and he continued working, responding to emails, analysing reports, and sending in feedback. He had almost gotten himself to forget about the problem he was in when it happened. His door-sized window glass shattered on the tiled floor of his room, as the bullet sliced through his window, rebounding its shell on the floor. Ray froze. The loud pitching sound of the shattered glass and the bullet shell echoed in his ears, without enough time to recover, the second shot followed and he swerved to the side of his bed. By the time the third bullet came, he had already scrolled through his contact list and dialed a number. “Pick up you bastard” he cursed out loud. “Enzo, I agree to your demands, come now!!!” he ordered as soon as the call connected.Jake's POV.“What the actual fuck, Enzo, you dated Ray?”Jake stood across his cousin with a crimson face and boiling blood rushing through his veins.“It was a long time ago,” Enzo blurted out dismissively and made for the closet.“You didn't think to tell me?”Enzo paused and turned to the other side of the room. Then sank into the leather couch in the corner and pulled out a wrap of weed from his pocket, smudging it as he reached for the lighter on the table.“He was supposed to tell you.” he clutched his chest and made an overly dramatic gasp. “he didn't?”Jake ground his teeth hard. “I'm not playing here, Enzo. I feel hurt and betrayed.”Enzo's brow knotted, “betrayed.”“Yes, you have been playing both sides.”Enzo rolled his eyes. “Don't be dramatic; besides, you shouldn't be angry at just me. Ray is responsible too.”Jake stomped his foot on the floor. “Start talking”.Enzo raised his hands into the air. “ok, fine, we dated 8 years ago. He was in the hood then, and…” he shrugge
Ray's POV.“Boss, Jake followed some bike guy out of the airport,” the guard Ray sent to trail Jake reported.Ray leaned lazily on his fist, spreading himself on the center couch in the sitting room.“I didn't follow because it seemed planned; he followed the bikers after a quick phone conversation with someone”.Ray's brow arched.“But he doesn't have any phone on him.”“He used the biker's burner phone.”Ray nodded, “he's chosen his path.” A sting of pain excruciated from Ray's chest; the thought of Jake being away suddenly felt unsettling.Like he lost something he had just gotten. But he consoled himself by believing that Jake was probably still in town and wasn't collaborating with Ricky. He waved his hands dismissively, and the soldier walked away.Reaching for the burner phone on the table, he dialed a number from his oregular phone.“Hello,” Ray's voice echoed in the phone.“Who’s this?” Ricky's voice rang back.Ray chuckled drily, “For someone who's been on my tail, I'm disa
Henry's POV.“Guess what?” Frank ran into the room holding a cell phone.“What?” Henry replied drily, his eyes buried in the lit-up screen of his laptop.“Just this morning I have gotten 6 calls from small brands willing to come on board” Frank clicked his tongue.Henry looked above his laptop to meet eyes with Frank, “Don't play with me now”Frank walked around the office to where Henry sat and scrolled the cellphone in his hand.“We are back in business baby” he exclaimed and hugged Henry.Henry stayed for a split second and shook Frank off when the thought of Ray suddenly coming in flashed in his head.Luckily Frank nudged it off with all the excitement he had bubbling inside.“We finally have work to do, I'll go back to my desk right away,” Frank blew him a kiss and made his way out of the room. With his door shut and Frank on the other side of the door, Henry threw a fist into the air as he exclaimed.“Ray would be so proud of me right now”He pushed some stacks of paper on the f
Jake POV“How long till we're there?” Jake asked clutching onto the motorbiker's leather jacket and his breath. The guy was insanely above the speed limit, but nobody else seemed to care, except Jake and his bike helmet.“Soon” the driver muttered. In 45 minutes Jake was standing in what felt like a lair.Only this time the lair was filled with men weighing, testing, and packaging drugs.Jake's stomach twisted as the stench of weed and cocaine wafted into his nostrils.“Hello brother,” Enzo called out as he walked into the room.Jake let out a forced grin as Enzo launched him into an embrace.“Welcome,” Enzo exclaimed.Jake's brow knotted. Something didn't feel right “Enzo, what about Matt”Enzo pulled away from the embrace and turned back in the direction he came.Jake followed.“He didn't make it,” Enzo responded finally, clutching the glass of whiskey he had just poured himself from a half-empty bottle in a room Jake later found out was his.Jake's fingers ran through his hair.Enz
Jake's POVRay leaned lazily on the door frame, with dark circles under his eyes as he peeped into the room.“You look tired” Jake said, trying to mask the concern in his voice, “not that I care”Ray’s face was expressionless.“Get up, we are leaving”Jake's forehead creased, “You can't just order me around, I'm not your child”Ray chuckled drily, “I'll drag you if I have to, don't taunt me”Something in Jake's stomach twisted. The last few days he had spent on the hospital freaking bed gave him enough time to think.“What are we?” Jake blurted.Ray's brow arched.“Really, I want to know” he paused and swallowed the lump in his chest, the last bit of his self-respect.“You think you can just have me anytime you want and order me around like I'm some….”“Whore” Ray interjected, “some lowlife whore, that's all you are to me”Jake's stomach rumbled, and his chest suddenly felt heavy.A pang of tears formed on the corner of his eyes, “ok” the words choked in his throat.Ray blinked hard,
Ricky's POV.Ricky's finger trailed down from the stripper's lips to his budge. The thin fabric over the stripper's clutch barely covered his hard-on.He had spotted him dancing on the pole about 5 minutes ago and paid for him to be sent to his private chamber at the club.“Get on your knees” Ricky ordered, his breath landing hot on the toned-skinned stripper. He obeyed, dropping to his knees with his eyes directly lasered on Ricky's clutch area and his breath landing hot on the surface of Ricky's pants, sending a burning sensation through his spine. The stripper's tongue traced the contours of Ricky's bulge as his hands fiddled with his belt.Ricky let out a growl. His hands combed through the stripper's hair and clutched it tightly.“You are a naughty boy” Ricky purred. His pants spooled on the floor and his dick sprang out bedded with precum. He watched as the stripper's eyes widened, his mouth dropped almost drooling.A wicked smile played on Rick's lips,“I'll fuck your face hard”
Ray's POV.His hands steadied the knocked-out kid.His eyes scanned the pitch as he hauled Lucas into the backseat of his taxi.A bell rang in the distance, and students in sports wear appeared almost everywhere, all headed towards the pitch.Ray shut the door and went around the car to the driver'

Ray's POV.His hands clutched hard on the mobile phone to his ears.“The honorable's wedding anniversary is your spotlight idea?” Ray asked.“Trust me sir, this idea of mine would work” Henry stuttered. “I'm sure of it”“Ok,” Ray responded after a long beat of silence.“Have any threat messages bee
