Rachel had lost her memory. The attending physician said she suffered a blood clot in her head as a result of the head injury. Although she wasn't in a life-threatening condition, it had caused her to suffer amnesia. After the doctor left, Rachel and I were the only ones left in the ward. She looked at me as though I were a stranger as she said, "Mr. Shaw, our marriage is merely an alliance between our families. Considering what has happened, you must know now that we're not right for each other."'What nonsense! Although our marriage was a marriage of convenience, we still dated for three years.' I snorted inwardly. 'Plus, she had practically clung to me for the past three years. Our mutual friends have even complained that we were too wrapped up with each other! 'Yet, she was now telling me that we aren't right for each other?'"Rachel, are you serious? Your amnesia is only temporary. What if you regain your memories one day, and—""I will never marry you even if I regain my m

Benjamin kept up a steady chatter along the way, telling me how the breakup wasn't a big deal and that I didn't have to take Rachel seriously. He even started telling me that there were plenty of fish in the sea, and I could just find someone else now that it was over between us."Nicholas, you dated Rachel for three years, but that bitch pulled this stunt as soon as she lost her memory!" Benjamin hissed. "Let's find someone better than her today and piss her off!"Then, he promptly dragged me to a nightclub."I've looked into this place. They have hired lots of pretty girls for their floor show, so you'd better seize the moment!"His words left me equal parts amused and resigned. However, I quickly found myself at a complete loss for words once I entered the establishment.Putting everything else aside, just the sheer number of young models in there was overwhelming.Even though my approach to women had always been to let things take their course, my heart still couldn't help

My body moved according to her rhythm before darkness welcomed me. When I finally got up, the sun was already high in the sky.Tiffany was long gone. My back was sore. By the time I finally managed to clamber out of the bed, my phone buzzed with a notification from Benjamin. 'Nicholas, how did it go last night?' Then, he sent me several texts that included Tiffany's information, which he had looked up on Google. He even sent me a link to an article.Although I thought he was overreacting with his sleuthing, I still ended up clicking on it.The article mentioned she attended the university in Ansela and had now returned home to start her own business, which was considered quite successful. She had also invested in other industries aside from the Wilson family's businesses. According to the news tabloid, she was a well-known tycoon in the industry even though she preferred to keep a low profile. She did have the Wilson family's wealth and resources at her beck and call, but she

Jordan's face immediately turned red and swollen."I've wanted to do this for a long time!" I growled. "You deserve to be punched for talking behind my back! This is what I'm like. I, Nicholas Shaw, am no doormat!"I'll make sure that you'll pay the price of falsely accusing me! Benjamin did the right thing by punching you. I know for a fact that he wouldn't have gotten so worked up if you hadn't run your mouth like a little bitch."A word of advice? Going against us won't do you any good."Then, I turned to Rachel and snarled. "As for you, Rachel!"I raised my hand and was about to hit her when she grabbed my wrist. "What's the matter? You're thinking of hitting me, too?"I promptly slapped her across the face with my other hand."And what of it?" I smirked at her meanly. "You two really do deserve each other. Mess with me again, and we'll see just how well it goes for you!"Then, I ignored Jordan's resentful glare as I dragged Benjamin away.Benjamin gave me a thumbs up and

Rachel called me, but I had blocked her long ago. So, she had no choice but to camp outside my house. Fortunately, my father chased her away, refusing to let her see me.She went to my company and waited for me to leave work. When I saw her approach, I instinctively turned to leave. However, Rachel immediately rushed over. "Nicholas!" she shouted.I turned to look at her and asked coldly, "What is it now? Did you remember something?""I've been receiving treatment, but I still can't remember anything. You could've just ignored what happened that day. So, why did you make that post?""Why? I told you that I'd make you two pay, didn't I? I also told you that I'm not the kind of person who would just stand around and take it! I refuse! Besides, it was Jordan who started it," I retorted hotly."Can you spare him? Jordan didn't mean it."I was completely mind-blown. I couldn't believe she had the gall to make such a request of me, especially after what Jordan had done. Frankly, there
