Chapter 101 — I Missed My Mum Too

Two hours later, we all trudged into the house, tired from our earlier display of madness at the hospital.“I'm so… hungry,” I groaned.“I'll cook tonight,” Dad said.“Yay!” I clapped.“I see you're as enthusiastic about food as always.”I pouted. He chuckled, ruffling my hair.“Sorry, princess,” Dad said, walking into the kitchen.“I wanna help,” I announced, trailing after him.He stared at me with uncertainty.“Err… how about you just let me handle things here, sweetheart.”“I can help, I promise. I learned a few things from Henry—”I paused, clamping my mouth shut as his face floated into my mind.Funny how it was so easy to forget him for a while.“I'll help too, so you don't have to be stuck with a lousy assistant,” Mum said, ruffling my hair.I grinned.Dad smiled.“Alright then!” …………..An hour later, we sat at the dining table, our hands joined together in prayer.“Bless this meal, O Lord. Amen,” Mum said. I picked up my spoon, my eyes locked on the heavenly delicacy with g

Chapter 102 — I Have To Do This

My mouth felt dry.My head ached. My reason for living was down to zero.I just wanted to die—My head was shoved into a bowl of cold water, then pulled back up.My wide eyes stared at my shocked reflection.“Dad!”“I believe you feel much better now,” he said.I glared at him, my chest rising and falling fast.He stared at me warily, then pursed his lips.“I'll take my leave then.”I glared at his retreating frame till he went out of sight.“Fucking asshole,” I muttered, heading to the bathroom.……….Two hours later, I strolled down the stairs dressed in a black corset top and biker shorts paired with thigh high boots.I patted my hair gently.“Where are you going?” Mum asked, walking out of the kitchen with a bowl in hand.“To Lena's.”She'd been blowing up my phone all night.“You aren't staying for breakfast?”I shook my head.“But I made your favorite,” she said with a tiny pout.“And you can't eat it all, I'll eat it later.”“Okay…”She walked into the dining room and I followed

Chapter 103 — I Love You

“Thank you,” I said, stepping out of the taxi.I glanced at the text from Lena, then back at the house.“Are you alright, Miss?”I turned to find the driver was staring at me with worry.“It's quite a lonely place to be at this time of night, you know?”I smiled.“Don't worry, I'm fine.”He didn't look assured.“Would you like me to wait out here for you—”I shook my head.“Thank you very much, but it won't be needed. I'm totally fine,” I said.“Don't worry, my dead body won't turn up on the news, I promise.”His worried expression broke into a soft smile.“If you say so… don't mind my pestering, I have a daughter that's why. Take care, okay?”“Yes, sir.”With that, he drove away.I turned back to stare at the looming building before me.I walked closer to the gate and rang the bell.“Who is that—Rosie?” Henry's voice came through from the intercom.“Hey…” I replied with a wave.“What are you doing here?”“I need to talk to you—”“Does your mum know you're here?”“No.”“Go back home,

Chapter 104 — You'll Be The Death of Me

Henry froze. His eyes widened. My nails dug into my palms.Fuck.I forced my gaze to stay on his.Say something…All my bravado began seeping out of my veins. My legs wobbled slightly.“Henry…”He ripped his gaze from mine, deciding to stare at the wall instead.“You don't mean that,” he whispered.I stepped closer.“But I do,” I replied. “I know it might have started out as a fantasy… a sexual one… but—” I paused.“I don't know when or how it turned into something more but… I know I feel something, Henry. And I know you do too—”“You're just mistaken, Rosie. I don't feel anything.”My heart shattered. My eyes watered. His words were like a blade and they cut deeper than I had imagined.I lowered my gaze.“I know you feel something for me, Henry. You're just trying hard to seem like you don't,” I sniffled as tears rolled down my face.“You don't always have to be so mean about it though. I understand.”I blinked back the tears, bringing my eyes back to his.He was still glaring at th

Chapter 105 — To Be Loved So Passionately

Slowly, I crawled to where he stood making sure to add emphasis to the sway of my hips. And all the while, his eyes never left me—Till I stopped.“Take off my shirt,” Henry whispered, his voice thick with lust.“Yes, Daddy.”My fingers reached for the bottom of his shirt, sliding it over his head.My mouth watered, my gaze hungry at the sight of him.“My trousers,” Henry ordered.“Yes, Daddy.”I unfastened his belt first, before easing his zip down.My eyes locked onto his rigid cock first. As if it had a mind of its own, it twitched lightly. My nipples hardened.“Rosie…” Henry drawled, urging me to continue. My gaze found his, heavy with desire.“Go on,” he ground out.And I did.I lowered his trousers till it fell to the ground.“Good girl…” Henry purred, and God did my pussy respond.“My boxers.”I did. Finally removing the last bit of clothing restricting me from seeing everything that made up Henry Gareth, blessing my eyes with—Oh, Christ. What would it actually feel like…“Giv

Silence. My shoulders slumped in defeat. But just as I was about to turn away, he rolled me fully onto his body, then placed a kiss on my hair. "Never."I stared at him."Sure?"He smiled brightly."A hundred percent."I grinned, laying back down on his chest. "So... what next? Are we going to continue the whole hide and fuck thing or...""I will talk to your parents."My head shot up. "What?"He cocked his head to the side."I know it's going to be a lot harder now that your Dad is in the picture but I will just have to come clean about everything," Henry mumbled. I sat up. His hands rested on my waist."Are you being serious right now?"He tugged me back down, circling his arms around my waist. "I decided months ago that the day we ever had sex was the day I'd do the right thing."I blinked back the tears that had begun to gather in my eyes."I know it doesn't seem like much and it sounds stupid..." he trailed off. "I just think you deserve better. I may not be the best for y

Chapter 107 — Let's Become Official

I opened my eyes groggily, thankful for the mild darkness in the room.Fuck, I was sore. We'd spent almost the whole night tangled each other. It wasn't like the first time.It was raw.Like two people who had crossed every boundary between them and were just exploring each other to the fullest.A door opening grabbed my attention, then a faint light switched on.Henry strolled in, hair damp, wearing a singlet and shorts, while carrying a tray.My mouth watered at the sight of him."Morning," he said, taking a seat on the bed before placing the food on a table beside me."Morning," I groaned, taking my gaze off him as I eyed the food hungrily."Brush?"I turned back to him, nodding in response."Alright then." He stood up, holding his arms open. "Come on."I rolled my eyes, throwing the sheets off my body."I can walk, bitch—"My legs gave way, and my body dropped to the floor with a soft thump.I gritted my teeth, then fixed Henry with a glare. He tucked his hands into his pockets, a

Chapter 108 — My Daughter

For a moment, I stared at the scene in shock. Then—My body kicked into action.I placed myself between Mum and Henry."What the fuck, Mum?" I screamed. Her gaze landed on mine, filled with disgust."Get out of my presence, Rosie. Before I end up doing something that'll make this family end up on the news."My hard gaze fixed on her.Inside I was petrified, but on the outside—"Like hell I will," I gritted. "Not until you tell me what the fuck is going on."Henry's hand rested on my arm."It's alright, Rosie—""Get your filthy hands off my daughter," Mum screeched, ripping me away from Henry. The force had me stumbling back, and my back landed against the table as she positioned herself in front of me.I hissed softly, then tried to stand up.My gaze landed on something instead.A very familiar jacket and bra.Shit.My eyes widened.Andrew's jacket from the night of Wade's game and my bra.I'd totally forgotten that I had gone to bed half naked.Henry must have taken them but somehow—

Chapter 109 — One Last Time

Dad turned to me, his eyes wide in disbelief and puzzlement.I turned my gaze away from him."Rosie..." he called. "Is this true?"My lips quivered."Rosalina," he called again, this time walking up to me."I love him, Dad," I whispered. He froze.Mum scoffed loudly."Like she knows anything about that.""Calm down, Denise," Dad chastised. He touched my arm."Look at me, Rosalina," he said, gently.I shook my head."I swear, Dad. I love him.""I believe you, princess. Just look at me, okay?"Slowly, I turned my teary gaze to his."Oh, baby. Come here," he cooed and I rushed into his open arms as sobs cracked past my lips.He rubbed my back softly."It's alright, it's alright... we'll settle this, okay?"I buried my face into his chest as I took in deep breaths to quell my sobs. After a while, I calmed down.Dad patted me one last time, before pulling back.He turned to Henry."How long has this been going on for?"Henry shifted slightly."I hate to admit that I've always liked your da

Chapter 110 —The Heart Doctor

By the time I woke up, Henry was gone, and a tiny note lay under my pillow.A sad smile tugged at my lips as I read its contents.‘I think your mother's right, Rosie. You need to figure yourself out without me hovering around you. I will try to stay updated with your life for as long as I can, and when the time is right, I will come for you.’I exhaled heavily. There was a void inside of me, one that opened the moment Henry left.I guess Mum was right after all.I brushed, took my bath, then dressed up before heading downstairs.Low voices drifted from the living room."I messed up, Richy. She definitely hates me now," Mum said, her voice soft."I'm sure she doesn't, Dee—""She does..." Mum cut in. "I just keep fucking things up—""Hey," I said, coming to a stop at the doorway. They both turned to me."Who's up for noodles?"Mum blinked.Dad stared at me in confusion."I know a cool spot," I tried again. "And I'm not angry... a bit sad, maybe empty but I'm cool.""Oh, Rosie," Mum brea
