VERA'S P.O.V "Can you help me with this?" I panted, dragging my ridiculously large suitcase into the room. Ellie rushed towards me, holding onto the suitcase, immediately dispersing the weight between the two of us. We lifted it, carrying it across the room quickly and placing it in a corner. "Thank you so much for letting me stay here," I thanked Ellie, throwing my arms around my friend. "I don't know why moving in with me wasn't your first option," Ellie giggled. "I know, I didn't even think about it." "At least now I don't have to pick you up every morning, and you can focus on the exams without thinking about how to get to school each day." I smiled, truly grateful for Ellie. "Thank you," I said again, quieter this time, leaning in to kiss her cheek. She wrinkled her nose like I was being dramatic, but I caught the small smile she was trying to hide. "Okay, okay," she said, stepping back and freeing herself from my death grip. "Let me leave you to settle in."
